Warren, do you want to provide evidence of "the educational material for grade schoolers" that does what you claim? Not material that that says that gay couples are just another kind of family, but material that portrays heterosexual couples as odd and inferior.

Also, your children are still toddlers, correct? How do you intend on handling the possibility that your kids may be LGBT?

Most wiccans are tossers quite as ridiculous as the chretins and mussulmen... possibly more so since there is no real tradition and "masters" tned to make shit up as they go along, which time has not had the opportunity to pare down yet.

Priest or wiccan "master", the temptation to abuse power for personal gratification is virtually built in to the structure...

Wicca in this area is almost entirely Dianic; I keep forgetting there are other traditions. British Traditional wicca may actually be particularly susceptible to this kind of abuse, because of the traditionally sexual nature of some of the ceremonies.

That wasn't taught by the school - big difference. That was bullying by other children whose bigoted parents taught them to be bigoted.

If your experience was anything like mine, it was facilitated by the schools of the time, by, among other things, the fact that all the school literature depicting groups of children showed only caucasians, with never an Asian in sight. From the viewpoint of little kids, that provided a subtle but official view of what society should really be like, which for the majority of children who did not have bigoted parents, led them to side with, or at least accept and condone, the few bigots.

An occasional Asian and an occasional black in official depictions would have gone a long way towards encouraging acceptance of Asians and blacks by the majority of students, white students, who weren't actively being taught bigotry at home. Of course, depicting as many Asians as whites would have been just as much a distortion as no Asians at all, at least in my school district; something representative of the entire student body was needed to help the students accept the entire student body as the relevant peer group.

And in answer to your question about examples, that's what I'm seeing with regard to heterosexuals in schools in Massachusetts today. It's mostly in paper documents, so I can't post them, but usually when you see a family depicted, it's a homosexual family. Heterosexual families are downplayed as if they were something to be ashamed of. I don't want my kids to be pressured into feeling shame about their family.

Now, how about answering my question? Why is prejudice against heterosexuals funny, when prejudice against homosexuals or blacks or Asians is not?
