Very much like Canada. We do get the same versions of Time magazine, after all.

We've got a better reputation though. "Yankee" is much less pejorative than "hoser". I think.

Losing 2 World Wars (and a World Cup ), having Adolf as leader, plus having half the country occupied by Communists for 40 odd years doesn't seem to have hampered Germany much.

They even got rid of most of there Jews after WWII...........in a way that Hitler wanted to do before the war (The Gas chambers etc were really Plan B - but the British and French and AMERICANS refused - and not out of principle).

Did you look at any of the previous covers? The US ones are often different, including one instance where the US cover story was "Can you still move up in America?" vs the rest of the world, which had "Mom liked you best: the science of favouritism." Sometimes there are multiple variations amongst the four covers.

From the recent examples given in the link it seems it's very normal for the US to have a different cover. I wonder how much the contents vary between the four versions too.
