Re: Unarmed teen shooting: the debate rages on...
to tell you the truth, I hate gated communities. I hate the restrictions, the rules, the obnoxious people telling me what kind of flowers I can plant in my yard. Plus they're all like robots. they come out of the house the same time, come home the same time, it's all so controlled like, I truly hate it. Like the "stepford wives" movie. They're 99% all white, with some black or latino for good mesure thrown in. Same house after house, back yard, front yard, all look the same. It's pretty insane if you ask me.

They come in and out of the houses at about the same time, because they generally hold gainful employment. Typical work days start fairly early in the morning and last until late afternoon early evening. It's a pretty common thing in the world, but off-putting to those who are more "late sleepers".....kiki5711 wrote:to tell you the truth, I hate gated communities. Oh, my bad. You knew the reason as because they work, but you hate them because of it.kiki5711 wrote:well thanks for that explanation, it never occured to me that could be the reason.Coito ergo sum wrote:They come in and out of the houses at about the same time, because they generally hold gainful employment. If I get arrested and go to court, I want Coitus in my jury. That's all I'm sayin.
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.
But those letters are not silent.
They're just waiting their turn.

To have a jury that wants to see evidence that the crime was committed is very important. To have Mai and Kiki on your jury.... :shudder: I'd hate to think of it.tattuchu wrote:If I get arrested and go to court, I want Coitus in my jury. That's all I'm sayin.

And I had you pegged as a masochist. My mistake.

EDIT
Since I haven't expressed an opinion on guilt or innocence in this case, where did you pull that out of CES?
Same place you pull everything else out of no doubt.

Otherwise, do go on until you're blue in the face.

Coito and Kiki, this is a reminder from the staff to you both that personal attacks are against forum rules. Please play nice, or further action may become necessary.

It sounds like another contentious case. Although the victim was almost certainly a robber, it's going to be hard for the shooter to argue that it was self defence, unless the police decide to "go easy" on the shooter again.maiforpeace wrote:Innocent until proven guilty!mistermack wrote:The Idea appears to be catching on.
