(there is only one third person "hän" in Finnish, I edited it to she)
Bruck has barely had time to talk about the U.S. presidential election with other people, but believes she already knows the outcome of the election.
“I can see how much people are participating in her campaign events, and how she is supported by yard signs and social media,” Bruck tells Yle in an interview with Messenger, a Facebook messaging service.
Bruck is convinced that her favorite will win the election on November 3 in just over a week - unless his opponent then falsifies the election result, which he considers possible.
Bruck's candidate is President Donald Trump. He was already supported by Bruck four years ago, and opinion has not changed otherwise.
Not even a corona pandemic or Trump’s illness has affected Bruck’s perception of the president.
- Trump has done his best to deal with the covid crisis. It wouldn’t have been easy for any leader to predict how bad it would get, Bruck says.
Actually, the events of recent weeks have only strengthened Bruck’s faith in Trump. Bruck thought it might have been good that Trump was not immune to the disease that so many ordinary Americans also suffer from.
- I am more and more confident that Trump is the right choice, Bruck says.
In addition to distorted opinion polls, she believes the media is a key culprit for the fact that Americans are so heavily divided into two camps.
Bruck considers the media biased - always criticizing President Donald Trump.
As another reason for the political division of Americans, Bruck considers a public school system. According to Bruck, teachers impose political attitudes on their students.
Thus, the children of the Bruck family do not attend public school. Some receive instruction at home and some attend a private school that parents believe better reflects the family’s Christian and conservative values.
