Re: The Trump Impeachment
Rudy Giuliani, looking out for his client's interest. He smeared the ambassador known for being anti-corruption so that he'd be able to push his cunning plan to get Ukraine to announce a corruption investigation into the Bidens.

'Giuliani admits he needed Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch “out of the way” for Ukraine scheme'
Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani admitted that he needed former Ukraine Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch “out of the way” in his scheme to find information in Ukraine that could aid President Trump’s re-election.
Giuliani, who publicly bragged about seeking damaging information on Trump’s political rivals in Ukraine as early as May, admitted to The New Yorker that he wanted Yovanovitch removed from her post to advance his plan to get Ukraine to publicly announce an investigation into the Bidens. Furthermore, the president's personal lawyer made this admission even after his scheme led to the House Judiciary Committee approving articles of impeachment against his client.
“I believed that I needed Yovanovitch out of the way,” Giuliani told the outlet. “She was going to make the investigations difficult for everybody.
Yovanovitch testified to Congress earlier this year that she was ousted after a baseless smear campaign led by Giuliani. Multiple State Department officials testified that Yovanovitch was the victim of lies fed to Giuliani and his associates by Ukrainian officials who had an ax to grind with the ambassador’s tough-on-corruption approach.
Yovanovitch directed Ukrainian consulate employees to block a visa Giuliani had sought for former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, the prosecutor that Giuliani has alleged former Vice President Joe Biden had fired for investigating his son, Hunter. (There is no truth to this claim. Shokin never investigated Biden and was forced out over allegations that he was corrupt.)
“I was kind of pissed off at her at that point,” Giuliani told the outlet.

Difficult? As in an illegal "obstruction of justice" sort way because she was complaisant in the Biden Ukrainian criminal activity?“I believed that I needed Yovanovitch out of the way,” Giuliani told the outlet. “She was going to make the investigations difficult for everybody.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

Give up. Criminal in the WH
CNN:
But if enough peel off they could provide Democrats with the 51 votes needed for key wins, such as to compel witnesses, demand documents and push through other procedural motions Democrats may seek during a trial.
McConnell is working to avoid surprises like that, but short of a reaching a broad agreement in negotiations with Schumer outlining the rules of a trial, he has said the twists and turns of a trial could be decided by 51 votes.

No, in a 'thwarting corrupt machinations' sort of way because she was impeding Giuliani's 'drug deal' (as John Bolton described it).Tyrannical wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2019 2:41 amDifficult? Rudy unloaded on corrupt former Ambassador Marie Yovanotich.
Rudy Giuliani: I didn’t need her out of the way. I forced her out because she’s corrupt. I came back with a document that will show unequivocally that she committed perjury. When she said that she turned down the visa for Mr. Shokin because of corruption. The fact is that on the record in the State Department’s own records, the reason given is because he had an operation. He hadn’t recovered yet. The operation was of course two years before. It’s documented evidence that she committed perjury. I have four witnesses that will testify that she personally turned down their visas. Because they were going to come here and give evidence either against Biden or against the Democratic Party.

I was given a year of free milkshakes once. The year passed and I hadn’t bothered to get even one.

"Yes, that's true"
That was her response to whether or not the guy had been denied a visa because of corruption.
These people are sick man.

Re: The Trump Impeachment
That nasty woman has simply gone too far. Trump and one or more of his speechwriters have let Pelosi have it with both barrels of the shitgun.
'CNN Anchor Calls Trump's Impeachment Letter to Pelosi an "Unhinged Rant from U.S. President on White House Letterhead"'
'CNN Anchor Calls Trump's Impeachment Letter to Pelosi an "Unhinged Rant from U.S. President on White House Letterhead"'
PDF of 'Dear Madame Speaker'In response to the release of a letter from Donald Trump about the upcoming final vote for the House's impeachment hearing, visibly disturbed CNN anchor John Avalon called the text an "unhinged rant."
"I just want to be clear. I've just read through all six pages. This is unhinged," he said during a breaking news segment on the letter. "This is an unhinged rant from the president of the United States on White House letterhead."
"It's clearly something he dictated at least in part because it's got a lot of his greatest hits from his campaign speeches and elsewhere," said Avalon. "This is the definition of not presidential. His is venting his spleen in public, but with the weight of history behind him."
"And he's making a series of statements that are both not true, reversals of fact, one of his classic moves, project and deflect," continued Avalon. "We see it over here, he's quoting certain congressmen cursing."

One hundred years from now, if anyone bothers to read that, they will echo the sentiments of GW Bush at Trump's inauguration, "that was some weird shit!"

You go ahead and believe in Giuliani, the prating fixer with two bagmen under indictment, whose sources include an almost certain Russian stooge and assorted grifters who were booted out of their positions in Ukraine because of their corruption. To me it looks like he's doing a fine job of shooting himself and his client in the foot. Speaking of which, I wonder why Trump didn't mention in his financial disclosure the services Giuliani, his 'defence lawyer', has provided to him gratis.Tyrannical wrote: ↑Tue Dec 17, 2019 11:51 amShe's going to jail.........

'A Great Big Gift Not on Trump’s Disclosure Form: Giuliani’s Legal Advice'
For the past 20 months, President Trump has received free personal legal services from one of America’s highest-paid lawyers, who has traveled around the country and across the ocean to defend him in the special counsel’s inquiry and press Ukraine to investigate a political rival and unfounded conspiracy theories.
The lawyer, of course, is Rudolph W. Giuliani, but Mr. Trump did not mention Mr. Giuliani or his unpaid labor on the annual financial disclosure he filed in May, which requires that the value and source of gifts — including free legal work — be publicly listed.
That requirement is cut and dried, said Kathleen Clark, a law professor at Washington University in St. Louis. She cited guidance from the Office of Government Ethics, issued in November 2017, that states federal officials must disclose “gifts of legal defenses — in kind or by payment of the fees.”
“The purpose is to ensure the public has an opportunity to see whether there is any kind of corrupting influence,” said Ms. Clark, who has written on ethics issues involving government employees in need of lawyers.
