I saw a huge transport carrier of some sort (there's an air base between my home and work), but somehow missed the stealth jets. How is that possible?

C-5 Galaxy? I see those landing or taking off from Andrews sometimes. Scarily huge, they are.

Maybe the B-2s really flew over North Korea, but the Air Force just said they flew over South Korea. Who up north is going to be able to prove otherwise?

There's an airbase on the way to my farm, and every now and then they take the C5 out for a spin. Basically they just cut laps around the base. Man is that a huge, loud, imposing machine. It kind of reminds me of a big black shark in the sky. I love to watch it.

What I suggested wasn't a fact, but speculation. I believed this to be a hypothetical thread, because we aren't North Korea, or its ruling dynasty, and as such we can't articulate the reasons for their behaviour.

This situation is never going to result in war, though, unless an 'accident' were to occur at any time where emotions are truly running high.

North Korea's frustrations are real, but their aggression is contrived. It's all talk. They know they could never win any war, but the threat is that they could inflict massive amounts of casualties. In any event the ruling regime could escape quite easily with impunity were the tables to quickly turn. They have nothing to lose except income, and an unprecedented, total power over millions of subservients.

I'd take a photo, but in the current situation, I'm a bit nervous about being seen taking pics of SK's military. I don't want any unexpected knocks on my door late at night. This isn't NK, but that doesn't mean that it's all Hello Kitty down here, either.

I'm sure that its people, deep down, are the same as folk anywhere. There will be a layer of their minds imposed by the dictatorship, perhaps equal parts fear and emotional loyalty to a leadership cult, but nothing that can't change, given time.

That's why hawkish solutions, often involving "turning NK into a parking lot" should be shunned. Which is not ruling out a military response to aggression, of course...
