What a lot of people miss is that firstly, work ain't what it used to be. It's a doddle, compared to years ago.
And secondly, on average people start paid work ten years later than they did years ago.

So 67 is perfectly fair.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

Dunno, the only people I wish eye related ailments on are those I would not mind having a good game of "Spanish Inquisition" with, myself being the inquisitor, of course.

I don't plan on retiring and living off Social Security. By the time I'm 67, I should be able to upload my brain into cyberspace and spend a few centuries enjoying my time in a virtual paradise. :shiver:

Maybe. :coffee:

Oh, it would be "suspected glaucoma, early" of course. Very little bother and the smoke helps so much with that. :relax:

Actually, I am also a vampire.
I am 63, and I am not working. I am currently living off assorted investments I made over the years I was in employment. I will not gain access to the taxpayer's jugular for another couple of years, which i look forward to. However, I also realise that 65 is stupidly young these days. I support the idea of the age being raised, even though it is to my own personal detriment.

I trust you do realise that it would be a copy of your brain uploaded. It is impossible, even in theory, to actually upload your brain. The upload process will require your death, while your electronic twin sibling lives on.

Fine by me. My thought processes will merely transfer from one medium to another. :{D

Yeah, but if they made another machine and told it it was you, the same thing would happen. But you'd still be in the original, no way around that.

Wouldn't you miss taste and touch and scent and all that, though? I don't think I'd want to be the electronic version of a brain in a jar-- even if I could still talk to people.

There's a character in Neuromancer who is an electronic construct of a person. He says he wants to be erased.
