I was going to write Kosovo, but that would be recognising it's independence, which is of course a deadly sin.
Now seriously, Kosovo is the biggest US ally (at least until they figure out that this whole independence thing didn't work out the way they expected and go Osama on the US)

I'll believe the Kosovo is part of Albania when the Albanian Military mans the border with Serbia... Funny how they'd regard themselves as shqip but don't seem to be moving for becoming part of the greater community.
(unless of course they have some major vendettas with people the other side of the border).

The USA does not have any Allies - because it doesn't need any.
it just has countries that are more useful (subservient) than others.
In the next 20 years I can see the USA disengaging from Europe militarily for cost reasons (wrapped up with a touch of domestic politics). Probably still keep a couple of bases for face saving purposes.
The good news is that it means that Europe will have to re-arm - and that always ends well
....albeit I suspect that Russia is off the agenda nowadays, but Ukraine and Belarus in reach .....plus North Africa and the Middle East is a natural European sphere of influence which the has been left to the Americans for far too long. Libya is just the start.....but to exert influence do need to get the tanks out of the garage now and again......but Europeans have a long history of killing Fuzzy Wuzzies on a large scale (they don't like it up 'em 
) so I can't see how that can go wrong.
