I doubt his heart was in it. Just a feeling, but there it is.

Weird - she's 18, and that photo of the husband looks like he was 30 back in 1979... :?
Close - the husband was in his fifties. And they'd been married for two years, i.e. since she was 16.

Some parts of this country may as well be another planet... :?
Hey, at 16 she's ripe for breeding, with lots of fresh eggs and plenty of stamina to plow the field, cut the wood, cook dinner and ride cock. And at 50 he's a proven genetic survivor and provider, so it's all perfectly natural and evolutionary and junk... Besides, older men are better lovers and know how to make 16 year old girls orgasm repeatedly, unlike their jackrabbit one-shot prematurely ejaculating pimply-faced narcissistic and ignorant teenage peers.

Or so my 30 year old unbelievably hot and sexy girlfriend tells me right after she comes five times in a row. :cranky:

A young Oklahoma mother shot and killed an intruder to protect her 3-month-old baby on New Years Eve, less than a week after the babys father died of cancer.
Sarah McKinley says that a week earlier a man named Justin Martin dropped by on the day of her husbands funeral claiming that he was a neighbor who wanted to say hello. The 18-year-old Oklahoma City area woman did not let him into her home that day.
On New Year's Eve Martin returned with another man, Dustin Stewart, and this time was armed with a 12-inch hunting knife. The two soon began trying to break into McKinleys home.
As one of the men was going from door to door outside her home trying to gain entry, McKinley called 911 and grabbed her 12-gauge shotgun.
McKinley told ABC News Oklahoma City affiliate KOCO that she quickly got her 12 gauge, went into her bedroom and got a pistol, put the bottle in the baby's mouth and called 911.
I've got two guns in my hand -- is it okay to shoot him if he comes in this door? the young mother asked the 911 dispatcher. Im here by myself with my infant baby, can I please get a dispatcher out here immediately ?
The 911 dispatcher confirmed with McKinley that the doors to her home were locked as she asked again if it was okay to shoot the intruder if he were to come through her door.
I cant tell you that you can do that but you do what you have to do to protect your baby, the dispatcher told her. McKinley was on the phone with 911 for a total of 21 minutes.
When Martin kicked in the door and came after her with the knife, the teen mom shot and killed the 24-year-old. Police are calling the shooting justified.
Youre allowed to shoot an unauthorized person that is in your home. The law provides you the remedy, and sanctions the use of deadly force, Det. Dan Huff of the Blanchard police said
Stewart soon turned himself in to police.
McKinley said that she was at home alone with her newborn that night because her husband just died of cancer on Christmas Day
I wouldnt have done it, but it was my son, McKinley told ABC News Oklahoma City affiliate KOCO. Its not an easy decision to make, but it was either going to be him or my son. And it wasn't going to be my son. Theres nothing more dangerous than a woman with a child

She made one error. But that aside, her behaviour was exemplary. No charges. Next

What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

What in the hell has Seth's sex life got to do with shooting people?
Let's get back on topic people---shooting intruders, guns.

It would be kind of weird to break in with rape as the object if nobody was home, right?
I don't know what it is for sure, but something about how the guy was over there when the husband's funeral was taking place, and then came back another day. Something doesn't smell right.
Yea, I'm with Zilla on this one. Anyone with just burgling on their agenda would do their best to avoid running into someone.

Ask Seth, he's the one who wanted to advertise it.

You sure you aren't 16 yourself, Seth? All that bragging makes you sound like an adolescent. But hey, you do have class with a capital K, I'll give you that. 8-)

According to the story, he had stalked her before. I guess he thought the death of her husband would leave her vulnerable. FALE.

Right you are Gallstones
Well I believe in the right of
self defence to protect person
or property as under English law
But I do not believe everyone has an
automatic right to bear arms though and
that may be because we do not yet possess
a Constitution like our American friends and are
less gun orientated than they are. But anyway we do
have the right to use reasonable force when required to
do so. What we do not have the right is to kill an intruder
after they have been apprehended for that is just plain murder
Some think that they have no human rights but they do. Just because
one is breaking the law does not give you the right to break it as well for
you are just as guilty. Remember under the law everyone must be treated equal

If I had an intruder subdued, I wouldn't kill them, or even rough them up. Well, maybe if they slipped on a freshly mopped floor and might try to sue me over it. :shifty:

However; if they are clearly intent on doing harm to me in my house, I'd be inclined toward my safety more than any concern of theirs.
