Sure. But they win. They do all this shit to further their narratives, not to uncover the truth. His silence will be seen as more evidence of corruption—just like we see it for the guys we hate—and it matters fuck all how ridiculous anyone finds that comparison. It’s campaign material.

The politics was maddening. But a lot of real work was happening to make people safer (eg you could track cases, take tests at home, schools closed etc). Then we had vaccines, in what seemed like no time.
