MAGA people sure are loyal to Trump, or else they are so stubborn that they can't admit they were wrong. On the other hand, Trump has been the most effective tool to punish libruls. Actual cultural stuff. Other than abortion and the usual list of things GOP must agree on, the Republican leaders concentrate on personal gain, power for themselves, perhaps in their state. The large all powering attack on everything liberal would take too much of their time. Even the few really openly religious politicians still do not seem to be on a mission from God.

Who will the Heritage foundation find to follow Trump? Other wealthy people are now too busy cashing in on whatever there was to grab in Trump decisions. You can't very well wait, all of the anti-science and other crap will soon be reversed in 2029. Oddly, Biden did keep some of the Trump tarrifs.

I don't think it's about the Heritage foundation in particular, but about which organisation or individual can i) make a an effective political operator their creature, and ii) have enough resources and reach to not only relentlessly push their creatures in front the electorate but to also project them in such a way as to attract others to their side - as the winniest winner. Trump didn't have to build a broad political consensus across disparate interest groups to secure a majoirty, he just had to suck all the juice out of the news cycle and sit back as the self-declared Masters of the Universe all willingly bought their tickets and hopped aboard the runaway bandwagon.

Healthcare Fraud Sweep

The Justice Department has charged 455 defendants across 45 states and US territories in a $6.5B healthcare fraud crackdown, which officials described as the largest coordinated enforcement action in its history and the second-largest amount ever charged in a single operation (behind last year’s $14.6B operation).

Authorities say the schemes targeted Medicare, Medicaid, and other healthcare programs through fraudulent billing, illegal kickbacks, opioid distribution, and telemedicine operations. Those charged include 90 licensed medical professionals, while 295 defendants are tied to over $500M in false Medicaid claims. Investigators also seized more than $127M in cash, vehicles, jewelry, and other assets tied to the alleged fraud.

The two-week crackdown comes amid the Trump administration’s antifraud push, with expanded data-sharing efforts across agencies (scroll to see coordinated effort).
