Yes, mostly left, in that I prefer freedom over authoritarianism. Demanding more government control is against my grain, as it likely does yours.

How do these senators expect to pass anti Biden laws? He can veto it and they do not have votes to override:
In press releases on Thursday, the Republican lawmakers said they intended to introduce a resolution calling on Biden to submit the Paris Climate Agreement to Congress for approval before rejoining.

The lawmakers also said they would introduce a bill authorizing the continued construction of the controversial pipeline.

Regulations create freedom because they prevent the tyranny of the powerful.

So you want free gov't vaccine available, but the FDA not to regulate that vaccine?

Then we can just dilute all the vaccine and make it cheap and homeopathic.

I'm good with that.

We don't even have FDA here, and it's going better than your region (I'd wager)

Then we can just dilute all the vaccine and make it cheap and homeopathic.
Didn't the Trump vaccines get through because 'Operation Warp Speed' cut away lots of the bureaucracy and red tape?

No, the FDA approved it. The FDA has the right to pull any vaccine it approved. The emergency authorization requires strict monitoring.

You don't have the FDA? Your drug agency approves under the FDA rules. In fact you get all our testing and safety free. Canada produces few drugs.

Small country can't afford to have their own regulations. So they have to tag along with the bigger countries. The same way the UK will have to subject itself to EU regulations even after leaving the EU

Regulations create freedom because they prevent the tyranny of the powerful.
They are always painted as evil, big-government red tape, created by faceless bureaucrats to stifle free enterprise.

Have you noticed what happens on a regular basis in poor countries with little infrastructure or government regulation? You have disastrous building collapses, horrendous fires in over-crowded dance halls, rampant deaths and injuries in factories, huge amounts of pollution spewing into the air and water... The list could go on.

Well-designed and properly enforced regulations are vital for the health and safety of workers and citizens, and for the protection of an already battered environment.

Yes, we don't PAY for the FDA. I don't know why you would want to, it is an expensive bunch of bureaucrats.

It's like Vancouver, BC. It pays no tax to Washington, but can use Seattle for anything it wants.
