XC is right, Thatcher was a cunt (I rarely use that word) I don't feel anything about her death because she ceased to be influential politically for some time; if she had died back in 1978 I would have rejoiced heartily. Now, Cameron is another Cunt, in fact most politicians are and I would like to see some en masse citizen outcry before very long.

David Camoron claimed that "we're all Thatcherites now."
I think not. Some, perhaps, but not all.

Thatcher - saved Blighty by reducing average growth rate from 2.75% to 2%. Nice one.

Margaret Thatcher art posters banned from Tube

Posters of Margaret Thatcher due to be shown at Westminster Tube station have been banned by the advertising company CBS Outdoor.

Six portraits of the former prime minister, including depictions of her as Queen Victoria and the Virgin Mary, were due to run from this week.

But CBS said running them would break Transport for London (TfL) guidelines on "public controversy or sensitivity".

Curator Ben Moore said he was hopeful of a more democratic decision.

The portraits ran in an exhibition at Gallery Different in central London which opened last Wednesday, the day of Baroness Thatcher's funeral.

The six selected include a pastiche of Peter Paul Ruben's The Assumption of the Virgin Mary with Baroness Thatcher's face replacing Mary's.

They were due to be placed on advertising boards at the station nearest the House of Commons after the Tube closed on Monday night.

But a spokeswoman for CBS Outdoor said the artwork contravened advertising policies.

A young Margaret Thatcher would join Ukip, says Nigel Farage

A young Margaret Thatcher would today be more likely to join the UK Independence Party (Ukip) than the Conservative Party run by David Cameron, the eurosceptic party's leader Nigel Farage claimed today.

Mr Farage described Ukip as "the true inheritors of Thatcher" on European policy, and said many of her supporters were dismayed the Conservatives were now led by the "social democrat" Cameron.

But he risked alienating some traditional Tory voters by giving his endorsement to a lap-dancing club manager standing as a Ukip candidate in next month's council elections, describing him as a a "free-market entrepreneur" who he was delighted to have in his party.
