Nothing. Trouble is that half of Republican voters are convinced that this election has been rendered illegitimate by massive electoral/voter fraud. I suggest that every one of the individuals who stormed the Capitol were convinced they were patriotic because that belief.

Re: The Trump Pandemic
I don't accept your suggestion as informed.
Having listened to an interview with a reporter who was THERE, in the buildings, he paints a much clearer picture.
Mr. Q (from that interview most of you won't hear) also led me to this - https://static1.squarespace.com/static/ ... 1049am.pdf
But it's from some 'right-wingers' no doubt, so you should ignore it, too. Interesting read about the current use of mobs.

People should ignore it because you haven't addressed the lies and mistakes you've already shared, several in just the last few days.

That link was a study including wind-bags from Princeton and Rutgers.
But don't bother. It came from the wrong sources.
Wait to see what your media companies allow, then read that. Wouldn't want to read something dangerous now, would you?

You're free to pretend that's the reason I won't click your link.
But it's obvious from your numerous mistakes that not following your links is more about avoiding unreliable people than anything else.

It's not you I wanted seeing it anyway. JimC is someone I like (at times
) and is involved in protest. I wish he saw it, because he should know what the study revealed. It would make him safer as a peaceful gin-sipper.
If he is a rioter, it is not good to give it to him, but I don't think he IS. I think he and people he cares about get involved in dangerous situations. That white paper is a study of network-enabled anarchy.

You were doing it for Jim?
You're a mess Cunt, and you really belong here. If you'd stop attacking everyone these moments of connecting would feel less icky.

You do realise that no one on this forum accepts your suggestions/opinions because...
Yep, you guessed it. Because they are all completely uninformed by logic, facts or rationality...

Seriously, it has information relevant to something important in his life. Knowing it would enable him to make more mayhem (I don't think that is his desire) and knowing it would also enable him to make protesters safe from certain exploitation.Sean Hayden wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 6:35 pmYou were doing it for Jim?

Hate me all you want, that stuff was out of the academics, about a subject which is damn near resistant to rigor BY DESIGN.

Did I miss the part where you gave Jim a heads up that you had found something useful to him? Was it right after telling Hermit that you don't accept his suggestion as informed?

Re: The Trump Pandemic
I have no need for your batshit crazy ideas on the nature of protests or anything else. When the diminishing threat of covid-19 in Melbourne reaches a suitable point, I will resume attendance at Extinction Rebellion protest marches, confident in my safety because of the totally non-violent ethos of XR, plus the knowledge that we will be interacting with the Victorian Police force, which for all its faults, is not a bunch of trigger happy yahoos like many US police officers...

Re: The Trump Pandemic
Speaking of XR I just got an invite to do a bit of protesting on the 15th, and given that I've had the first dose of the vaccine I'm tempted! I don't imagine they'll be any pressure to socialize beyond gathering in roughly the same area. I'm not getting arrested though, ain't got time for that.

Re: The Trump Pandemic
Bron and I have done a training session with XR to prepare for the possibility of being an "arrestable", which typically means deliberately refusing the request of a policeman to move on (from, say, a position blocking an intersection). We are not sure whether we will do that, but when protests return, we can at least add to the numbers overall...Sean Hayden wrote: ↑Mon Jan 11, 2021 8:56 pmSpeaking of XR I just got an invite to do a bit of protesting on the 15th, and given that I've had the first dose of the vaccine I'm tempted! Melbourne has been mostly covid free for months now, with a small outbreak of a handful of cases a week or two ago now seemingly over. We won't start to get our shots till late February or early March...

What does Mr Q actually add to the broiling pot of reliable information; what ingredient would the pot be missing without him? How important is it that the information soup carries a taste of Mr Q - and what happens if it turns out that Mr Q tastes like a donkey's ringpiece?Cunt wrote:I don't accept your suggestion as informed.

You'll be fine, and there'll be no pressure to say no to a cop. XR know that the cops don't tolerate surprises after a point (unless you're sporting facepaints and a bison pelt... apparently).Sean Hayden wrote:Speaking of XR I just got an invite to do a bit of protesting on the 15th, and given that I've had the first dose of the vaccine I'm tempted! Of course, you could still get arrested - it just won't be for anything you've actually done. So business as usual for the fuzz then.
