Doesn't change anything. Why not charge him with murder 1?

It would make more sense to the public. Murder 2 gives the impression that he's not going to get the complete book thrown at him.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

The public is a mess of stupid idiots. There are certainly good legal reasons for standard procedure. I am an ignorant idiot with regard to us law, so I don't insist on having to understand them.

The 'Daily Stormer' got back online for a while by changing to the .ru domain, but they've now lost DDOS protection from CloudFlare. They'll carry on peddling their shite via the TOR network, despite this deplorable state of affairs.

"Racist Daily Stormer goes down again as CloudFlare drops support"
All week, the infamous hate site Daily Stormer has been battling to stay online in the face of a concerted social media campaign to shut it down. The site lost its "dailystormer.com" domain on Monday after first GoDaddy and then Google Domains blacklisted it from their domain registration services.

The site re-appeared online on Wednesday morning at a new domain name, dailystormer.ru. But within hours, the site had gone offline again after it was dropped by Cloudflare, an intermediary that defends customers against denial-of-service attacks.

Daily Stormer's Andrew Anglin reported Cloudflare's decision to drop the site in a post on the social media site Gab. His post was first spotted by journalist Matthew Sheffield.

Theoretically, you don't need a service like Cloudflare to publish a website. In practice, however, a site as controversial as the Daily Stormer is going to be swamped by distributed denial of service attacks if it doesn't enjoy the protection of a service like Cloudflare.

Oooh noooo! Richard Spencer will now be looking for a new site hosting service. Perhaps he and his fellow creeps will eventually have to set up their very own hosting, just as they have gone to specialized crowdfunding through sites like Hatreon.

"Squarespace is dropping Richard Spencer’s think tank and other 'alt-right' websites"
Squarespace has become the latest web service to drop members of the white supremacist movement in the wake of violence in Charlottesville, including Richard Spencer, president of the white nationalist think tank the National Policy Institute.

“In light of recent events, we have made the decision to remove a group of sites from our platform,” a representative from Squarespace said in an email. “We have given the site owners 48 hours’ notice.”

Squarespace’s action follows calls for the service, a domain registrar and hosting service, to stop providing a platform for Spencer’s group and other white supremacist organizations. One petition on Change.org directed at Squarespace has more than 36,000 signatures.

The 'Hillary supporter' Fields (who was funded by Soros, of course) spent years developing his deep cover in high school. Unbelievable dedication to setting up a false flag operation.

“The Nazi of the school”
As a high school student, James Alex Fields Jr. wore a belt with swastikas on it, and he drew the symbol everywhere, several of his former classmates told VICE News. By senior year, he’d come to be known as “the Nazi of the school.”

“You could see his beliefs plain as day,” said a former classmate of his at Randall K. Cooper High School, in Union, Kentucky. In fear of backlash from their community, several of Fields’ former classmates asked to remain anonymous. One even began tearing up at the thought of anyone realizing they’d spoken up about Fields’ past. “It’s getting really scary,” the classmate said.

...

Fields would constantly mock those different from him, his former classmates said, and he often made hateful and racist comments. One former student recalled that Fields often harassed a female Muslim student, who wore a hijab, about being a terrorist.

“I usually tried to stay away from him,” the former student said.

Another former classmate who graduated last year recalled Fields picking fights with people who simply didn’t agree with his views. “He would make a lot of people uncomfortable because he’s one of those people that you never knew when they would do something,” the former student said.

When White Nationalists Get DNA Tests That Reveal African Ancestry

An analysis of Stormfront forums shows a sometimes sophisticated understanding of the limits of ancestry tests.

...

Panofsky, Donovan, and their team of researchers analyzed 3,070 Stormfront posts spanning more than a decade—all from forum threads in which at least one user revealed the results of a DNA test. Some of the results were 100 percent European, as users expected. But often—surprisingly often, says Panofsky—users disclosed tests results showing non-European ancestry. And despite revealing non-European ancestry on a forum full of white nationalists, they were not run off the site.

While some commenters reacted with anger, many reacted by offering up arguments to explain away the test results. These arguments largely fell into two camps.

First, they could simply reject all genetic ancestry testing. Genealogy or the so-called mirror test (“When you look in the mirror, do you see a Jew? If not, you’re good”) were better tests of racial purity, some suggested. Others offered up conspiracies about DNA testing companies led by Jews: “I think 23andMe might be a covert operation to get DNA the Jews could then use to create bio-weapons for use against us.”

The second category of explanation was a lot more nuanced—and echoed in many ways legitimate critiques of the tests. When companies like 23andMe or AncestryDNA return a result like 23 percent Iberian, for example, they’re noting similarities between the customer’s DNA and people currently living in that region. But people migrate; populations change. It doesn’t pinpoint where one’s ancestors actually lived. One Stormfront user explained it this way:
See, THIS is why I don’t recommend these tests to people. Did they bother to tell you that there were whites in what is now Senegal all that time ago? No? So they led you to believe that you’re mixed even though in all probability, you are simply related to some white fool who left some of his DNA with the locals in what is now Senegal.

Drawing Equivalencies Between Fascists and Anti-Fascists Is Not Just Wrong, It's Dangerous

We must be very wary of any attempts to excuse or normalize white supremacy.

After a fascist march in Charlottesville, Va. left one anti-Nazi protester dead and 19 others wounded, there has been widespread criticism of President Donald Trump’s failure to forcefully denounce white supremacists. However, this condemnation has rarely included a genuine understanding of the actions of antifascist protesters in Charlottesville and elsewhere, creating a continued justification for the “both sides” argument that paints antifascists, or antifa, as equivalent to the white supremacists they oppose.

As a researcher who has attended numerous political and social events with antifascist involvement, and interviewed many antifascists, it is clear to me that politicians and pundits are drawing a false equivalence between white supremacist and antifa actions—and ignoring the direct threat posed by supremacists that motivates antifascist responses. Antifascists often serve as the first line of defense when police and civil society fail to protect marginalized groups from fascist threat. Their actions must be understood in that context.

The flaw in the “both sides” position is that the violent protest actions of antifa are equivalent to the violent actions of white supremacists. A brief examination of the two movements’ approaches to violence points to the fallacy of comparing the two.

For white nationalists, neo-Nazis, the “alt-right” and others in that camp, violence is an end in itself. The ideology that they adhere to not only calls for the violent elimination of any group that falls outside of their narrow conception of normalcy, but also sees violence as the ultimate goal. From classical fascism to self-styled white nationalist social clubs like the Proud Boys, the use of violence is understood to be the means by which one’s goals are achieved. When even the most moderate position the alt-right or fascist movement can take is racial separation or nationalism through forcible repatriation and strict border control, including forced deportations and racialized exclusions, that movement is inherently violent.

But it doesn’t stop there. The “alt-right” is marked by its strategic deployment of symbols and Internet meme culture toward its political agenda. This culture is defined by its violent symbolism, from venerating individuals fighting antifa such as Kyle “Based Stickman” Chapman to the use of “helicopter ride” memes, referential to the murderous Pinochet regime to threatening leftists and antifascists to celebrating the death of Heather Heyer. This is a movement that laughs at the use of violence and encourages its participants to engage in violence as a self-righteous indulgence and source of gratification.

We can juxtapose antifa’s use of violent tactics with the way in which the far-right understands violence. Antifascists are focused on a singular goal as described by their movement name: opposing fascism. The antifascist strategy relies on a variety of tactics. As Spencer Sunshine points out in his history and profile of antifa groups, “antifascists have greatly increased their work on intelligence gathering, doxing and pressure tactics.”

I want to see the moderate Nazis coming out and condemning the extremist Nazis at Charlottesville. Until the moderates start distancing themselves from the extremists it's going to look like all Nazis are basically the same.
