Re: The Hillary-thread
Well, she's got pneumonia. There has been no statement, by anyone, that she "only" has pneumonia. Remember, too, that before they disclosed her pneumonia diagnosis, she declared herself -- "I feel great!" -- fit as a fiddle! Further, on Friday her issue was "seasonal allergies" even though she had been diagnosed by Dr. Bardak with pneumonia. So, they already were dishonest about her condition.Brian Peacock wrote:She's only got pneumonia, not two heads and a thirst for the blood of your first born.
So, I have not doubt that the specific assertion that she has "pneumonia" is true as far as it goes. I do not see it as at all unreasonable, given what has gone on - the coughing fits, the falling, the serious head injury, the apparent/possible freezing/seizures, the anti-seizure glasses, the Secret Service Handler having to intercede to tell her "we're still here" and "keep talking..." when she froze at the podium, the repeated incidents where people are propping her up and stabilizing her... that's not "pneumonia" and it's been going on longer than this past Friday.
Something is going on that they have not disclosed.

LOL - well, other than the facts that, irrefutably, Clinton has made up, you've not identified a single made up fact. So, it's not even something that can be discussed. You're just hand-waving.mistermack wrote:Pants on fire.
She said, out loud, after she fell down yesterday that she "felt great!" She then staged a photo op where a child ran up to her, sending the message "if I were sick, would I be this close to a child??" And, all such ops must be cleared with the secret service -- she is guarded by the Secret Service and they don't let people, including children, run up to their charges willy-nilly.
She also declared that she had seasonal allergies and that was her problem.... that wasn't true.
She also declared that she just "overheated" a bit... and that wasn't ENTIRELY true -- the only reason she "overheated" was pneumonia....so she left that part out at first...
Only when it was clear that they had to say SOMETHING specific about what was going on did we get the pneumonia thing. Nobody said that's ALL she has. And, as we know pneumonia is something that is very often associated with other severe conditions.....
So, I know you think a brain damaged or dead Hillary is better than Trump, and that's fine. But, at least don't pretend that this is a "big nothing" or something that's been manufactured about Clinton or is untrue. That's just dishonest. I can respect someone who says that even if she's sick, I'll take her over Trump. What grinds my gears is the constant politicking by people not involved in the campaign to just pretend that Hillary is pure as the driven snow and above reproach. Sure, support her despite her lies, coverups, machinations, prevarications and equivocations -- but, at least acknowledge they exist....

Re: The Hillary-thread
Hillary has had multiple falls since 2005 – one leading to a broken elbow and another to a concussion. You can see the glaring one where she was filmed in 2011 falling while getting onto an airplane.
Emails were discovered in the email kerfuffle from Huma Abedin indicating that Hillary is “often confused." She sought advice from NFL folks about concussions....
She takes lengthy naps.
She had a lesion on her tongue, and a biopsy.
The press has been shrugging off her repeated coughing fits, until now.
She has an inability to stand, or get into vehicles, without a stool, and otherwise has handlers holding her up.
She's appeared to have several mini-seizures, and even had her Secret Service agent calm her down on stage and urge her to keep talking and "we're still here."
She's had peculiar travel habits, including taking a private jet on 20 mile trips. What was with that?
She wore "prism glasses" at Congressional hearings, which are used to help ward off dizzy spells --
She went almost a year without a press conference. No Republican would have been allowed to get away with that.
In 2014 and onward, there were incidents of her being off balance --
Weird seizure like episodes --

It's not 100% clear to me how it works, but it would be subject to Democratic National Committee Rules. According to the DNC’s bylaws and charter, the DNC would have the responsibility of picking a replacement. Exactly how this would be done is not spelled out, except that the members of the national committee would choose who fills the vacancy. The rules do not require that any kind of special consideration be given to Tim Kaine or Bernie Sanders. However, if someone besides Kaine were picked to replace Clinton, Kaine would remain in the VP spot. A special meeting of the Democratic National Committee can be held to fill a vacancy on the national ticket. The meeting has to be called by the chair, in accordance with procedural rules, and determined by the majority vote of those present and voting by proxy.
Given that Sanders did not give his delegates to Clinton, his delegates remain his. So, he has a good argument that he is in a better position than anyone else off the street to be the nominee.....
I wonder what would happen if Hillary dropped out and Sanders jumped in....

Re: The Hillary-thread
We had all this mud slinging with Bill Clinton. Didn't stick.
All this bollocks on this thread is great for the already converted, but that's all.
Who in their right minds would decide to vote for a moron, because the other choice got sick?
Did I say right minds? OOPs, we're talking American voters here.
I would put all my money on Hillary right now though, if I was a betting mug. Because these two are so totally different, I can't see anyone changing from the one all the way to the other.
Maybe Trump's best hope is to get Hillary's voters to stay at home. But he can only do that, if he keeps his fucking mouth shut. And he's not capable of that.

A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.
