Re: Leftist Riot Du Jour - UC Berkeley
Is your chart supposed to be proof that the Klan was a lot more active in the run up to the election? It doesn't seem to show that at all.
What I was "trying to tell you" -- i.e. - what I told you - was that the Klan is miniscule, and largely irrelevant and they don't do much.
But, in any case, I vehemently oppose the Klan - they're a bunch of racist assholes.
Whether any particular white supremacist group supported Trump is of about as much import as the Communist Party supporting Clinton - which is, about zero import. Don't you agree? Or, does the fact that the Communist Party supported Obama and Clinton mean something? If so, what?

The communist party didn't support Clinton (and Obama too, I presume). Snopes has debunked this.

The Communist Party USA refrained from a specific "official" endorsement, but its members and officials were anti-Trump and pro-Hillary. First pro-Bernie, then pro Hillary. For example, http://www.aim.org/aim-column/communist ... y-clinton/pErvin wrote:The communist party didn't support Clinton (and Obama too, I presume). Snopes has debunked this.
It's not really any different than the media saying the KKK supports Trump because David Duke endorsed Trump. Angela Davis supported Hillary Clinton.

No, the chart showed the estimated level of membership, and that it increased in the runup to the election.Forty Two wrote:Is your chart supposed to be proof that the Klan was a lot more active in the run up to the election? It doesn't seem to show that at all.
The Communist Party didn't support Clinton, but that white supremacists groups like the Klan support Trump is significant in as much as it tells us a little about the kind of people who find Trump politically appealing - and that's not to say that all Trump supporters are white supremacists btw, only that he appeals politically to 'racist assholes'.Whether any particular white supremacist group supported Trump is of about as much import as the Communist Party supporting Clinton - which is, about zero import. Don't you agree? Or, does the fact that the Communist Party supported Obama and Clinton mean something? If so, what?

Odd... I guess going from 190 to 130, a decline of about 32%, from 2015 to 2016 is to be interpreted as an increase in the run-up to the November 2016 election.... lol

Re: Leftist Riot Du Jour - UC Berkeley
We'll have to see what 2017, and the effects of the reported membership drive, brings, but from 72 to 130 chapters between 2014-16 is an upward trend against the downward trend of the previous two years. Considering the secrecy of the Klan it's difficult to tell how many members are enrolled from chapter numbers alone. Estimates vary anywhere from 3000 to 8000. I also suspect that few former members completely change their political views once they stop paying their subs.

Re: Leftist Riot Du Jour - UC Berkeley
Looks to me like the average over the last 16 years is pretty steady and in 2000 there were about 110 groups, now there are about 130. Big whoop. At its height, the KKK had 4 million members. Now it has 3,000 to 8,000, according to sources with the most incentive to suggest membership is high, like the Southern Poverty Law Center. When you have a 130 groups with say, 5000 members, you've got like 40 people per group, in a nation of 330 million people. This is not a relevant population.

They're hiding their faces, so they must be leftist scumbags.

Re: Leftist Riot Du Jour - UC Berkeley
Actually, the KKK is the child of Democrats, so yes, they are leftist scumbags. Nothing prevents leftist scumbags from being racists as well. Leftism is, after all, the party of identity politics, as Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot and Hitler so aptly demonstrated by killing a hundred million people they didn't like. Today's leftists are absolutely no different.Brian Peacock wrote:They're hiding their faces, so they must be leftist scumbags.

They didn't OPENLY support Hillary, they openly supported Bernie Sanders. But they were, are, and always have been bitterly opposed to non-leftists like Trump. No big surprise there. They've been suborning the Constitution and American government since the 1930s.pErvin wrote:The communist party didn't support Clinton (and Obama too, I presume). Snopes has debunked this.

Re: Leftist Riot Du Jour - UC Berkeley
Indeed. Do you understand anything about that law? It was enacted in 1948, long BEFORE the "civil rights period" by Harry Truman BECAUSE of the KKK and it's liberal fascist actions. The KKK was and is the party of DEMOCRATS. It was started by Democrats.rainbow wrote:Good.Seth wrote:Woodbutcher wrote:If you can't show your face when protesting, then you have no right to protest. 18 U.S. Code § 241 - Conspiracy against rights
If two or more persons conspire to injure, oppress, threaten, or intimidate any person in any State, Territory, Commonwealth, Possession, or District in the free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege secured to him by the Constitution or laws of the United States, or because of his having so exercised the same; or
If two or more persons go in disguise on the highway, or on the premises of another, with intent to prevent or hinder his free exercise or enjoyment of any right or privilege so secured—
They shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section or if such acts include kidnapping or an attempt to kidnap, aggravated sexual abuse or an attempt to commit aggravated sexual abuse, or an attempt to kill, they shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for any term of years or for life, or both, or may be sentenced to death.
The law in question was a direct federal response to masked KKK liberal fascism. The point is that today's masked liberal fascists like the ones at UC Berkeley are absolutely no different from the KKK in that they use masked violence to interfere with the rights of others to enjoy their constitutional rights and they need to be arrested and sentenced to prison under this law for doing so.
