At this point, I think Presidential elections are a big waste of time, energy, and money. Let's switch to the civilized system used by most western countries. We should have the legislature pick the President by letting the party that controls the majority of seats in the House of Representatives pick the President from its ranks. That is, after all, what civilized democracies do.

Four years? This thing has been going on for about 18 months now. LOL.

It has turned into a reality game show, that's for sure. Back in the day, nobody really saw the sausage being made, as the primary processes were largely uninteresting, and uncovered. People just didn't follow them like they do today, and they certainly did not nit-pick over ever word, every eyebrow raise, and sit and hand-wring over ever speech. We have pundits on shows discussing what other pundits have said about what the candidates said....

It really has become something different over the last three or four elections.

What's unanswered? Anarchism is flatly insane. Are there aspects of anarchism that reflect Libertarian theory of individual rights? Of course, but that's like saying that Islamic jihad is fine because it includes "peaceful" references to social harmony and charity among Muslims. The devil is, as usual, in the details.

Anarchism becomes insanity when it refuses to acknowledge any societal constraints on individual behavior at all. That's a psychopathic anti-social defect in both the philosophy and the adherents that makes both very dangerous.

Libertarianism, contrary to the usual lies and propaganda spewed here, is fundamentally a socially oriented philosophy that does not deny the individual's responsibility to others but carefully defines it as a mandatory, positive social duty not to initiate force or fraud against others, which is entirely unlike anarchism. Libertarianism eschews temporizing and fiddly-bits about regulating social interactions that socialism engages in by stating two simple rules for getting along with others in society: Don't initiate force or fraud, and if you do, expect to be held accountable for doing so, regardless of the level of force or fraud initiated. Otherwise, Libertarianism states, leave other people alone and let them do as they wish with what is theirs so long as THEY do not initiate force or fraud against you. That's anything but anarchic.

That's why anarchism and anarchists are insane dangers to society and neither have anything whatever to do with Libertarianism.

The conflation of anarchy with Libertarianism is a leftist/socialist lie and propaganda of monumental and monstrous proportions perpetrated by socialist swine who can't stand the notion of individual liberty or private property.
