I don’t think this will happen. The Democrats are rudderless and scared of their own shadows. They will stick with Schumer and offer no resistance to the administration. Which is, of course, horrifying.

Though the US could technically buy Canada from King Charles, I'm sure Canadians will soon see the wisdom in joining the US and there would eventually be a referendum. Quebec back in the 90's came within 1% of voting for independence, and if they went separate the rest of Canada would have become states back then.

The WSJ just put out an article that says Social Security is in trouble and the only way to save it is to raise the retirement age AND increase the % of the payroll deduction.
Prominently missing was the fact that simply raising or eliminating the Social Security cap on wages.
