All Things Trump: the story continues...

Banned for running again by the Dems, eh?
Good thinking. They wouldn't want to let voters make that call.
Fucking deplorables.

Voters are dumb and badly informed. The hundred bucks they gained on a pay check was more than lost when you filed taxes.

Trump was almost screaming as Castor struggled to get at the heart of his defense team's argument, which is supposed to be over the constitutionality of holding a trial for a president no longer in office. Given that the legal team was assembled a little over a week ago, it went as expected, one of the sources told CNN.

The only reason they are trying to do this, is because they fear letting the voters decide.

After Turnip won, they put ALL their efforts to tossing him out. In the weeks after he left, they still try. It's cute. I'm starting to like the 'Don Quixote' vibe.
Someone should tell them they won already. They are acting like they got caught organizing a powerful cabal to manage information flow.

What did Turnip win, Arizona? The local Republicans there gave up on overturning the election and are now jailing officials that declared Biden the winner. For revenge.Cunt wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 4:56 pmAfter Turnip won, they put ALL their efforts to tossing him out. In the weeks after he left, they still try. It's cute. I think Trump should be held accountable for what he did after the election. But there are too many Republicans who were happy to help him for that to happen.Cunt wrote: ↑Wed Feb 10, 2021 4:56 pmAfter Turnip won, they put ALL their efforts to tossing him out. My comment about the lawyers was for the talking heads discussing the particulars of the trial. A less offensive analogy might have been to compare them to art critics.

If lawyers are in charge of a process, and they get paid hourly to 'lawyer' through that process, I would guess that there might be a bias in favor of more lawyering processes.
I fucking hate how critical they are. Can't fucking WAIT for the AI lawyersoftware, which will automate much of it, but those fuckers will find more ways to bill out.

Trump can only be convicted by the Senate as a body. I guess one either respects democratic process or one doesn't and tries to make it a purely partisan issue.Cunt wrote:Banned for running again by the Dems, eh?

If the senate doesn't manage this, the only thing they lose is the ability to stop him from running again.
The voters could do that for them, except the voters might vote wrong.

Here's video of one of the rioters reading Trump's tweet attacking Pence right as it was posted during the insurrection

Re: All Things Trump: the story continues...
On its own that might be ok - letting the voters decide. But I don't think we can (or should) put aside what and who he is, what he said and did as president, or what he's said and done as a person. The man's a walking, talking shit-posting troll at best, and a pernicious expression of self-entitled, power-hungry elitism at worst.Cunt wrote:If the senate doesn't manage this, the only thing they lose is the ability to stop him from running again.
