Whenever my oldest daughter visits she brings her two dogs with her, a miniature poodle and a miniature dachshund. We always walk down to the bay, with her two and our pit mixes. The one you really have to look out for is the dachshund, she's a fucking terror. She'll attack damn near anything or anybody, so she has to stay on the leash. The poodle isn't much better. The two that can walk down to the bay, play around in the water and walk back, without a leash and under complete voice control, are the two pit mixes.

Here's the vicious, baby killing pit bull in it's natural habitat.

Pit Bulls of the various types, were bred by combining the Old English Bulldog with a variety of different terriers. From which do you think Pit Bulls get what aggression there is in them?

Nope.

Yep.

Yep.

Yep.

But actually - they're not that aggressive.

EDIT: Goddammit. Why isn't it showing these photos?

Jack Russell Terrier Kills British Infant2012

Aiden McGrew Killed, Dismembered By Family Dog 2012
She said the family's second dog was a yellow lab and she had never seen the smaller dog that had been taken away by deputies.
University of Texas Study
In contrast to the time period covered by the CDC study, which found pit bulls and Rottweilers to be the most commonly involved breed in such attacks during that time period, this study found no fatal pit bull attacks at all in the US during its time period, and only one Rottweiler attack.
...
There were multiple retriever attacks, including three Goldens and one Labrador, and there were two fatal attacks by very small breeds: a Dachshund, which is a very small scenthound bred to work as a terrier, and one Yorkshire Terrier, which is among the smallest of all dogs. Finally, in ten of the attacks, the dogs were only described as mixed breed.[5]
Fatalities reported in 1975
January Basenji mix Tracy Wax 5 month The baby was attacked while asleep on the living room floor.[40]
Fatalities reported in 1979
October 30 Dachshund Christopher Johnson 2 weeks The boy died after the 6-year-old dog chewed off his legs while the mother slept in a nearby room. The dog was described as well-behaved by neighbors and friends.[48]
Fatalities reported in 1988
January 21 Labrador Retriever Megan Stack 2 years Early in the morning, her father heard her scream and ran downstairs to find the dog biting her head. The dog, "Toby", was 80 pounds, eight years old, and had been their family dog for nine months. She died of several bites to the head and neck. Experts expressed surprise, noting that the breed had been well known for its gentleness and for being good with children.[56]
Fatalities reported in 2000
October Pomeranian Girl - name withheld 6 weeks An uncle was babysitting the child and left her alone to prepare a bottle for her. When he returned, he found the dog attacking her.[79]
Fatalities reported in 2004
February 21 Beagle-mix Truston Heart Liddle 17 months Wandered with his brother from his parents, a farmer and his wife who were working their land, onto an adjacent farm. Got too close to a chained dog, who, although well-fed and watered, appeared to spend most of his time tethered in place.[118]
Fatalities reported in 2005
May 15 Labrador Retriever-mix, Dachshund Julia Beck 87 years Killed by her in-law's two dogs
Fatalities reported in 2008
January 17 Jack Russell Terrier Justin Mozer 6 weeks Killed by his family's dog while sleeping on a king size bed[241]

June 28 Golden Retriever-mix, Australian Shepherd-mix Lorraine May 74 years Killed breaking up fight between her dogs (theory)
And then this: Dog bite-related fatalities in the United States by category of dog(s) involved. Notice how the number one "offender" breed changes.

Because I will never let someone like you impose their fucking asinine, authoritarian bullshit on me. You will have to murder me to get your way
What you going to do blow away the next policeman to give you a speeding ticket?, going to shoot your way onto an aircraft shouting I'm not a terrorist
When only criminals carry guns the police know exactly who to shoot!

Er, I believe he said "like you." Policemen are not like you. Neither are most people.

The obvious conclusion to this thread is that owning all dogs should be banned. They're pretty disgusting animals anyway.
And any roaming dog should be put down straight away.

It would help to save the planet. Look at all the carbon that goes into keeping dogs, and the rain forest that is cut down just to feed them. No wonder the ice is melting.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

I've put down a couple of "roaming" dogs. They made the unfortunate mistake of "roaming" at my livestock. My best shot was 550 yards in a 30mph full-value crosswind on a white Samoyed harassing my horses. When the animal control officer came out to pick up the carcass she said, "Oh yeah, I know this dog. I've given the owner five warnings for it being at large. I'm going to take it and put it on her doorstep."

Say, you know what makes putting down stray dogs, particularly feral or vicious ones, really easy and convenient? A Walther P22 with a silencer. No muss, no fuss, no waking up the neighbors.

Yeah, but look at all the brouhaha when the Syrians try to be efficient at it...

Zero. That's the point of lots and lots of practice.
