I received a series of death threats on the socials from a rabid Canadian atheist-hater. I'm not living in fear, and I don't have a department of State dedicated to my safety and security. That kind of shit says everything about the person making the threat and very little else about anything else. The Martyr card is one to be played posthumously in my view.

Not with Trump. The Russian quoted talks of people in Trump's "entourage." And, he has noted that these are high-profile people that have been in the limelight for many years who have had dealings in Russia over the years, and that has continued.

So, we don't know who talked to whom, and when, and about what. Is there any detail on that?
Nope, just what was in the article, which wasn't much. Though it seems unlikely that the Russians would be in contact with Trump's people without being in contact with the orange man himself.
That's not correct. We don't know who is being referred to, and there are a lot of people who would be considered among Trump's entourage without Trump being involved in the communications. It's a very vague, very non-specific assertion. There is also no reason he could not provide more info, if he really knows what he's talking about. Who? When? Unless that's disclosed, it's hard to evaluate what the allegation even is.

Why? I posted a video of a Trump supporter/voter getting his ass kicked for the stated reason that he voted for Trump. What's the problem?

Because Info Wars, lol. It should be obvious. I'm puzzled it's not.

Anyway, I wouldn't give a site like that revenue clicks, so I didn't look at it. Why didn't you just embed the video?

It's not accurate because it's on Infowars?

Wow - that is quite a load of bullshit right there. LOL.

What a great insight into the mind of the leftist douchebag. You can't get much more hyperbolic self-pity and condescending narcissism, than that article. Whew. I kept going, paragraph after paragraph, to see if he would come down to Earth, but he finished it as he began - with the thesis that the election of Donald Trump equates to Hitler's commencement of World War 2 with the invasion of Poland on September 1, 1939, and that on November 7, things looked good, but now, a couple of days later, the United States lays in ruins.

He blames the media for, wait for it.... creating Trump and supporting him. LOL. Yep, the media, that masturbated nightly over pictures of Hillary Clinton, ignored as much as possible her defalcation and corruption, and reported every wart on Donald Trump endlessly, created Donald Trump. The media, that fostered the notion that anyone who supports Trump is a racist, misogynist, Islamaphobe and xenophobe, supposedly didn't work hard enough to keep him from being President. The media, which was shown to be colluding directly with the Clinton campaign - was, in fact, helping Trump.

And, this guy, like all Progressives, fails to listen to what the Trump supporters say, and fails to acknowledge who they really are. To the leftist Progressive, the Trump supporter is a hateful, racist, gun toting, religious nutter and that's it - to the leftist Progressive, the "basket of deplorables" is who the Trump supporters are, and why they thought there couldn't be enough of them to win an election.

But, they fail to listen, like this author. They fail to give the Trump supporters the benefit of having a legitimate position on the issues. They aren't concerned about the economy, the loss of the US manufacturing base, and the loss of good, high paying, skilled employment. No! The men and women in Macomb County and Western Wayne county Michigan are not good, kind, hard-working people who are concerned about the loss of EVERY SINGLE parts supplier to the US auto industry being bought up by China or exported out to other countries. No. What they are is "emasculated" hateful people who think they own the country and want to keep the brown people out.

This author doesn't see hard-working Americans who get up at 6am every morning, take care of their kids, and rush off to work for 8, 10, 12 hours, only to have their income stolen by an Obamacare Mandate that tripled or quadrupled the monthly cost of their health insurance. No. They aren't really concerned about that. What they're concerned about is being hateful racists who don't want poor people to get health care.

The Trump voter has no real political issues to advance, says this author. It's just the common person's sense of superiority that has been stolen from them (by Obama, I guess), and so they "want it back" and now we're going to go into a period of hate, violence, xenophobia, misogyny, racism and Islamaphobia. We're not going to try to get some of the 100 million work-capable men and women back to work who are now among the largest group of "out of the labor market" folks in the history of this country. No. The selfish middle class white man and woman who voted for Trump, they don't care about that! They care about being racist and Islamaphobic.

If you want to know why the media, the pundits and the left wing Progressive class did not "get it" and were so "shocked" that Trump could actually win, just read this article. It's emblematic of the problem. The opponents to left wing progressive politics is not a different set of ideas being advanced by people who sincerely believe the ideas are best for the country, no. Only leftist progressives have the best interests of the country at heart. The Trump supporter is just an emasculated white man who spits tobacco, fires his guns, beats his wife, hates Muslims, and wants to deport all immigrants.

The election of Trump was in some ways, as Michael Moore put it, a big "fuck you." And,, the middle finger was extended very firmly in the direction of people like this author. A guy who is so far up his own ass that he can't possibly understand or come to grips with the fact that not everyone agrees with him, and in fact, quite a lot of people don't agree with him. And, the fact that this author's candidate lost, in this author's mind, means that democracy is dead, the country is in ruins, and we're like Germany and Poland in 1939.
