The other members of the EU will not permit a delay. They are too angry at the UK's arrogance and insist on punishing it. [/Scott Dutchy]

Just like they wouldn't allow the UK to stay in the common market.

I still don't get it. I'll have to read a book about it after it's been settled.

Hermitt it is "Scot" with one "t". Where did I say "punishing it"? Do not put words into my mouth.

Yep arrogance again. Which part of art 50 are they going to use. They can apply to the Council but good luck with that. There is no there way except by cancelling the Art 50 letter and that would open a huge can of worms.

Tory and Labour MPs to force Brexit delay if May's deal is voted down
Ministers and senior MPs in talks to extend 29 March deadline to avert no-deal scenario
What did Juncker say?
“I have the impression that the majority of British MPs deeply distrust both the EU and Mrs May,” Juncker said. “It is being insinuated that our aim is to keep the United Kingdom in the EU by all possible means. That is not our intention.”
The UK can only ask for an extension or cancel art 50 if May's deal is rejected which is highly probable.

Apparently, we need to be 'taught a lesson' though, so they'll ignore what's good for them as well as us.
