No need for any special arrangements as there's an RFID chip inserted with every vaccination anyway.
Rationalia relies on voluntary donations. There is no obligation of course, but if you value this place and want to see it continue please consider making a small donation towards the forum's running costs.

Not if you are tattooed with 5G nano-chips.

Damn 5G. No, not the chip. It's just that perfectly good phones will expire in a year or two as they carry voice calls in 3G or 4G. I think you need iPhone 11 to get several years out of it. I have 8.

3 and 4G networks will run alongside 5G for a while yet, at least in Australia. 3G and 4G will be shut down midway through 2024. That means I will have had six years of service from the Samsung Galaxy 5 I bought second-hand for AU$240. I pay $10/month for 30 bucks worth of talk time and half a Gig of data.

OK. Some friends got phones in the mail from AT and T, without asking, plus two year contract. ATT claimed 3G was no good.

That is involved with vaccination?
Here we have a pretty good take up even in the bible belt. Every one that wants it can have it. Next week the 12 to 18 will be given their second jab. There is a discussion about offering 60+ a third jab in September as a booster for the winter.

Australians should be offered a $300 payment if they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by December, Labor leader Anthony Albanese says, as part of an incentive for Australians to get the jab.

Mr Albanese said the cash payment would be a "much-needed shot in the arm for businesses and workers struggling from lockdowns" to prevent the spread of the virus.
A good idea, IMO, but of course it's very easy to offer such a suggestion when in opposition...

It is corruption Jim. Why should one be paid and not the other. It is asking for fraud. Get double vaccinated for the money?

I don't know what you mean by "Why should one be paid and not the other". It's quite simple - every adult who has had the jab would get the money, if not, then no money. Of course, this will only be fair if done after everyone who wants one has had the jab (end of the year in tardy Oz), so the only ones missing out would be the vaccine refusers. The idea is that the existence of such a reward will push the hesitant to get the jab, leaving only a hard core of morons to dice with death...

How would you prevent some people taking it twice?
Some are really desperate. I think denying access is an acceptable way but yet again corruption is around the corner. False tickets etc. Here I am glad to say it is not required.

You would only get it after having your 2 jabs, and we are developing a digital vaccination certificate.

Anyway, it's only a proposal from the opposition at this stage...

Simply make access to public services conditional on being vaccinated.
