Rugby is the greatest team sport this world has yet invented.

Mixed martial arts is the greatest sport of all time.

You're all just miffed coz you couldn't play rugby.

:sulk:
I hated playing rugby at school but it was good for the grey matter - at any given moment I had to work out the position on the field that the ball was least likely to come to.....and be there. It was almost exactly but not quite entirely unlike chess.
Very similar to me in Aussie rules football, except I didn't have to think...

Any team with me on it quickly learned to kick the ball anywhere other than where I was standing... :hehe:
Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?
And my gin!

So, Hux, you haven't yet started to put the milk in the oven or your shoes in the cat bed?

We rose with the morning star and prosecuted our journey to Cabool, whereupon Johnny Cash stole my monster munch.

It's the appliance of science. A Nobel prize must be waiting for the author of this study.
Who would have thought that blows to the head could cause dementia in later life?

I'm going to do a similar study on boxers, and if I find a similar effect, I've thought up a great name for it.
I'm going to say that they are '' punch drunk ''. I wonder if Mohammed Ali could help me out?

I can't wait for that Nobel Prize money.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

This.

Reminds me of a study I read about (animal experimentation). Dog's throats were surgically cut (but without the dog being killed) and they were then fed. The "scientists" discovered that over a period of time, the dogs suffered malnutrition. No shit, Sherlocks!

Surely they have those before they take up rugby/boxing? :ask:

I'd say early signs of demantia amongst rugby players and fans would be quite obvious while they are still a toddler.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

The sad thing is that a number of parents of children playing Rugby wouldn't understand how obvious this is.

Australians are pretty tough dudes, which is why they have rugby league as strong as they do. However, there are always some guys who simply are too weak for rugby, and who like to dress up in pink leotards. They play Aussi rules.

Well, until recently when they banned the shoulder charge in Aussie Rules, it was a much tougher game. The reason why is that Aussie rules doesn't have an on- and off-side. So you can get smashed from any direction. You don't see it coming, and you can't stiffen up and lower your centre of gravity to prepare. In the rugby codes, you can usually see what's about to hit you. Of course, when you don't, that's when the really big hits happen.
