If there's a poll that's a danger sign for Obama it's this one, with people saying the country is going in the wrong direction outnumbering those who think it's on the right track by 2:1. That's been true for nearly Obama's entire term.

Median household income is down by 7% since Obama took office:

So far Obama has been able to keep his poll numbers up by playing the blame game. We'll see whether that works all the way to the elections.

Obama's been the one playing the blame game? :what:

Okay, he's done quite a bit of it, and the Republicans deserve to take a hell of a lot more than he's dished out IMO. But Romney has done nothing but blame Obama for everything under the sun - whether real, exagerrated or fantasy. The guy does not stand for any specific policies, has not given out any plans for what he'd do including a budget (he merely endorsed Ryan's), does not want to talk about the details of his business experience, doesn't talk much about his time as a governor, and doesn't come across as personable. Nobody (perhaps not even him) can really have a good idea what he'll do in office, and very few are genuinely enthusiastic about a Romney Administration. He's nothing more than the Not-Obama who survived the primaries. Pathetic.

Besides, your other points are so out of context you sound like a Romney commercial. The recession might've had something to do with the median household income numbers, just maybe. I could point out over four million jobs added since Obama took office, the all-time high in corporate profits and the return of the stock market among other things, but I can't credit the President for all of that and if I were to try and do so I'd merely be stooping to your low level. The right track/wrong track numbers stink, but they're actually better than they were before the 2008 election, and that poll is not quite referendum on the President anyway. For example: I think the country's on the wrong track, but I'll be more than happy to vote for Obama again.

Let the 15-second TV ads throw out out-of-context numbers and blame/credit one candidate for them. In this thread, we ought to discuss things at a more intelligent level.

One of the left’s favorite attacks on the Republican Party is that it is the party of old white people, devoid of diversity and probably racist.

If you were watching MSNBC’s coverage of the Republican National Convention in Tampa on Tuesday night, you might believe those assertions, since missing from the coverage was nearly every ethnic minority that spoke during Tuesday’s festivities.

In lieu of airing speeches from former Democratic Rep. Artur Davis, a black American; Mia Love, a black candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives from Utah; and Texas senatorial hopeful Ted Cruz, a Latino American, MSNBC opted to show commentary anchored by Rachel Maddow from Rev. Al Sharpton, Ed Schultz, Chris Matthews, Chris Hayes and Steve Schmidt.

Throughout this convention, Matthews has accused the Republicans of playing dog-whistle racist politics while on scene in Tampa. It isn’t clear, however, if Matthews will hurl accusations of racism at Davis, Love or Cruz for speeches his network failed to broadcast.

Three out of twenty thousand or so? Not bad. But a bit too much diversity for the Republican Party. They'll bury those folks after the election.

Tuesday night after rising GOP star Mia Love brought down the house with her inspiring convention speech, the stomach-turning Left labeled the black conservative a “token” and an “Aunt Tom.”

Meanwhile, revoltingly racist, woman-hating Wikipedia vandals were hard at work updating her entry with disgusting slurs like “House Nigger” and “dirty, worthless whore.” The page called her a “total sell-out to the Right Wing Hate machine and the greedy bigots who control the GOP.”

Glenn Reynolds reported the defacement of Love’s Wikipedia page last night.

"I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, ....punk? "

LOL - two 28 year old crackpots, who don't hold office and are not part of any organization, have an idea for a stupid law. Shocking.

Let me start asking random people off the street to tell me how evolution works, too. :funny:
