Not sure if this is what the Norwegian guy had in mind (having skim read some of his loony ramblings). He seemed to be referring to any cultural/social/political movement that is progressive, accepting of multi-culturalism. a degree of cultural relativism and liberalism. His view seems to be that it was opening the doors to the invading hoards of Muslims.

He does not seem to have been capable of real analysis as per the Wiki definition.

What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

Then there's "crypto-Marxism" that Seth keeps bringing up, which for me just conjures an image of Stalin doing one of those word scramble puzzles in the newspaper. :dunno:

Our struggle is not against actual corrupt individuals, but against those in power in general, against their authority, against the global order and the ideological mystification which sustains it.

cultural marxists are people desirous of a global, left leaning, all encompassing culture, basically nonnationalist left wing counterparts to fascists.

I'd prefer my maxism plain. Well, maybe a trotsky for good measure but the stalin lines always gave me a case of the gulags, even if they are popular. :food:
