During the early twentieth century, the Greenwood District of Tulsa, Oklahoma, was known as the “Negro Wall Street of America” because of its prosperous Black business community. In 1921, Greenwood was home to nearly eleven thousand Black people — one-tenth of Tulsa’s overall population — and spanned a thirty-five-block area. The district boasted close to two hundred businesses, including thirty-one restaurants, more than two dozen grocery stores, five hotels, four drugstores, and two theaters. There were a dozen churches, as well as two schools, two hospitals, two newspapers, and a public library.1 Most of the businesses and residential properties were owned by Black Tulsans.2 The Black professional class comprised not only clergy and teachers but also three lawyers, including the pioneering Buck Colbert Franklin; fifteen doctors, one of whom was a nationally acclaimed surgeon, Dr. A. C. Jackson; and enterprising businessmen such as Greenwood’s founder, O. W. Gurley.3 Remarkably, the neighborhood’s affluence occurred at a time when most Black southerners lived in rural areas and toiled as sharecroppers on white-owned plantations. For all these reasons, the Greenwood District was not just a wealthy Black community in the age of segregation; it was, and remains, a potent symbol of Black excellence. The eruption of white mob violence in downtown Tulsa on May 31, 1921, interrupted Greenwood’s historic ascendancy.

'Consultants for NV GOP sought out Proud Boys for post-election rally'

A consultant hired by the Republican Party to “help with Nevada ballots” worked on election night to “get the Proud Boys out” to a post-election rally protesting the validity of balloting in the presidential election, according to an email obtained by the Nevada Current from a former Republican operative.

“Not sure yet, but don’t pull the trigger,” Woodrow Johnston, Vice President of McShane LLC, wrote to Sarah Cirillo at 10:23 on election night. “But Gosar is leading the charge on a ‘Brooks Brothers Riot’ down in AZ,” he wrote, referring to Arizona Republican Congressman Paul Gosar. “We might need to do the same here in Nevada.”

“Okay,” responds Cirillo, known at the time as a Republican operative. She has since changed her last name to Ashton, is running for Las Vegas City Council, and told the Current she aligned with the Republican party to assist in the election of her best friend, Nadia Krall, who ran for judge in 2020.

“Which means we need to get the Proud Boys out,” Johnston wrote. “I’ll let you know as soon as I know it’s happening. But wanted you to be mentally ready.”

At 11:05 p.m., Ashton (Cirillo) sends an email to a group of Republicans saying she “just received this from the GOP. They are asking me to potentially gather the ‘boys and all the patriots and lead a literal (non violent) charge on the County Elections office.”

“This would be the moment to save our nation,” Ashton writes. “Support would come from the state party.”

“I thought it was all over after the election,” Ashton said in an interview. “Then came the Big Lie.”

The Proud Boys call themselves ‘Western chauvinists’ and deny any connection to alt-right groups.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported last week about an attempt by the Proud Boys to gain control of the Clark County Republican Party and an investigation into the activists’ role in censuring Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske for endorsing the legitimacy of the presidential election in Nevada.

Unless I missed them somehow, the necessary data for that graph are not present at the purported source. It's been faked.

The question : "Has a doctor or other healthcare provider EVER told you that you have a mental health condition?" has been asked, but not cross-referenced with demographics of any sort. The only thing we are told is that 18% of the respondents said Yes, 82% said No and 1% gave no answer. That probably adds up to 101% due to rounding.
