Pearce: Yes, consistent with the idea of "permanent, indefinite appropriations."

Finally, Bove gets up for a brief rebuttal.
Bove: There is a problem with the DOJ's alternate source of funding argument. This just highlights the separation of powers problem. DOJ shouldn't be able to say that it has the money to use if the Court rules against the DOJ on the appropriations issue.
Bove: If the DOJ uses that money, then there would be a "political response" from Congress and likely another motion from us and the co-defendants.

I think that Congress should retire judges at 65. That is, quit paying expenses and salary. They can still come in and babble till death.

The salary is merely a law. Not in the constitution.

Section 1 of Article Three vests the judicial power of the United States in "one supreme Court", as well as "inferior courts" established by Congress. Section 1 authorizes the creation of inferior courts, but does not require it; the first inferior federal courts were established shortly after the ratification of the Constitution with the Judiciary Act of 1789. Section 1 also establishes that federal judges do not face term limits, and that an individual judge's salary may not be decreased.

Democrat Angela Alsobrooks has a double-digit lead over former Gov. Larry Hogan

(R) in Maryland’s Senate race, according to the first poll released since the state’s primary earlier this month.

A Public Policy Polling (PPP) survey found that 45 percent of Marylanders support Alsobrooks, while 34 percent support Hogan and 5 percent support another candidate. In the choice between Alsobrooks and Hogan alone, the Democrat maintained a slightly smaller 8 point lead, 48 percent to 40 percent.
