It would be against US campaign finance laws for any political campaign to accept donations from non-US sources. The claim made by InfoWars is that Black Lives Matter is circumventing the law. The claim is based on the fact that the Black Lives Matter website uses ActBlue software and technical support to handle donations (ActBlue Charities).

ActBlue is a political action committee, and would be closed down if they were actually accepting money from international sources and using it in US politics. The InfoWars reporter is conflating ActBlue with ActBlue Charities, and gullible InfoWars readers (as well as the rest of the right-wing conspiracy theory bubble that has parroted the InfoWars allegations) won't bother to understand the difference.

I guess it doesn't matter if this organisation is merely processing overseas donations, that they're only proving a feed service, Murdoch's chattel can make hay in any season.

I've wondered if the press barons, the corporate and financial lobbyists, and the religious conglomerates who've taken their abject fear and loathing of rights-based ground up democracy and pushes it into play things like Bush, Blair, Bolsonaro, Orban, Farage, Johnson, and Trump, could actually pull back from or turn against the new popularism they've splashed for. Have they released The Kraken from the depths in order to devour their enemies only to discover that it is has a rapacious and insatiable appetite and seems to be feasting indiscriminately?

According to its website Black Lives Matter, Inc is NOT a charity. It is a full-fledged corporation that does NOT have any locations. Can anyone tell me then where the hundreds of millions BLM has raised goes? Can anyone tell me in what state BLM was incorporated & by who?

Candace Owens should do better research. Nowhere on the website does it say that Black Lives Matter Global Foundation 'is NOT a charity.' She's apparently inferring that because they've incorporated, they are not nonprofit. Maybe she's unaware that there's such a thing as a nonprofit corporation.

As a registered 501(c)(3) organization, the foundation is required to file returns with the US Internal Revenue Service, and those returns are available for public scrutiny. In them the interested party will find income and expenditures.
