Who still thinks it will be a fair election:
Fresh Cambridge Analytica leak ‘shows global manipulation is out of control’
Company’s work in 68 countries laid bare with release of more than 100,000 documents
An explosive leak of tens of thousands of documents from the defunct data firm Cambridge Analytica is set to expose the inner workings of the company that collapsed after the Observer revealed it had misappropriated 87 million Facebook profiles.
More than 100,000 documents relating to work in 68 countries that will lay bare the global infrastructure of an operation used to manipulate voters on “an industrial scale” are set to be released over the next months.
It comes as Christopher Steele, the ex-head of MI6’s Russia desk and the intelligence expert behind the so-called “Steele dossier” into Trump’s relationship with Russia, said that while the company had closed down, the failure to properly punish bad actors meant that the prospects for manipulation of the US election this year were even worse.
The release of documents began on New Year’s Day on an anonymous Twitter account, @HindsightFiles, with links to material on elections in Malaysia, Kenya and Brazil. The documents were revealed to have come from Brittany Kaiser, an ex-Cambridge Analytica employee turned whistleblower, and to be the same ones subpoenaed by Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
Kaiser, who starred in the Oscar-shortlisted Netflix documentary The Great Hack, decided to go public after last month’s election in Britain. “It’s so abundantly clear our electoral systems are wide open to abuse,” she said. “I’m very fearful about what is going to happen in the US election later this year, and I think one of the few ways of protecting ourselves is to get as much information out there as possible.”
“There’s evidence of really quite disturbing experiments on American voters, manipulating them with fear-based messaging, targeting the most vulnerable, that seems to be continuing. This is an entire global industry that’s out of control but what this does is lay out what was happening with this one company.
"Wat is het een gezellig boel hier".

It's early days yet, but I suspect that 'Democrats mourned the death of Soleimani' and associated bald-faced lies will be a recurring theme in the US presidential election campaign. 'They defend the terrorists' is a forceful accusation completely in keeping with the delusional slanderous rubbish that Trump delights in spouting, and Trumpists cling to his weaponized lies as articles of faith.
'Trump Tweets Lie Accusing Dems of Defending Soleimani'
President Donald Trump concocted a blatant lie in a tweet Saturday morning, accusing Democrats of “defending the life of Qassem Soleimani” who he called “one of the worst terrorists in history.”
There is no evidence that any Democrats have made such a defense. After Trump ally Rep. Doug Collins (R-GA) made a similar assertion earlier this week, he apologized soon thereafter.
Writing on Twitter, the president asked, “Where have the Radical Left, Do Nothing Democrats gone when they have spent the last 3 days defending the life of Qassem Soleimani,” adding, “He was also looking to do big future damage! ‘Dems are “unhinged.’”
Earlier in the week, Nikki Haley, Trump’s former Ambassador to the United Nations, claimed on Fox News that Democrats were “mourning” the loss of the Iranian general. When pressed on what she meant, she doubled down.
“Mourning comes in different forms,” Haley’s office said in a statement. “It doesn’t have to be literally crying over the casket like Ayatollah [Ali] Khamenei. Leading Democrats are aggressively arguing that we would be better off if Qassem Suleimani was still alive today. That is effectively mourning his death.”

I'm in contact with some of the Democtats here in the prairie. As our votes generally mean nothing at all, there is a strange excitement about the democrats in the primary. But then after there is a candidate, the Democrats can barely get excited to vote in Nov. Only the county level issues on the same ballot get some enthusiasm. The state, with the few electors, goes to Trump.
I'm not even sure what effect we had on the Hillary vs Sanders battle last time.

This was also the reason given by black voters for backing Biden.

Bernie said it wasn't true, the Warren aide that said it wasn't there and is lying.

A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

yeah, at one time I thought the electoral roundabout started there because they were among the more poised and balanced folk to be found in the states, actually, I now think that it's because it's the ruralest most full of clods and morons short of going to fetch the sister kissing hillbillies more southeast... so basically the kind of place where the trend set will be the more outrageous, corrupt and grandstanding malefactor to find in either party.
