I'm in a real shit mood. It's hot, the noise from all the generators is annoying as fuck, and Florida Power and Light is saying the power MAY be back by 9/22. What the actual fuck? What have these numb nut asshole been doing with our money? Yeah it was a large storm, but it was a fucking Cat 2, not a goddamn catastrophe. Fucking incompetent fucking morons. We should NOT have lost power, there is NO fucking excuse. Even if there were random outages from a downed line it should sure as fuck not take them two fucking weeks to fix it. Now there are reports of dodgy motherfuckers wandering around the neighborhood, walking into people's back yards with one bullshit excuse or another. My mate Ben had three redneck dudes show up in his back yard saying there was a downed power line, which there fucking wasn't. Ben escorted them off the property with a 12 gauge. Fucking assholes. The guns are loaded and in easy reach, any motherfucker tries to loot my shit I'm going to blow their fucking heads off their fucking shoulders, and probably get a fucking medal for doing it. I hate goddamn thieves.

That was due to the State abusing its power. Rioting is a valid response in that case. Shooting people and leaving people stranded and refusing people entry to shelters during a natural disaster is a totally different situation.

I don't think you are aware of what's been happening in the US. Were there vigilante groups armed with semi-automatic rifles in the UK floods? Did the local authorities refuse to allow entry to shelters to people who had outstanding parking tickets (not to mention worse "crimes")? Did local companies involved in the evacuation refuse to take non-paying customers on their vehicles/vessels even though they had empty seats? Did local hotels kick out foreign tourists who hadn't paid for extra nights accomodation due to the flooding? Did people get robbed and raped in the bigger shelters in the UK?
And not to mention the English laklaks. Are they all armed to the teeth and on a hair trigger for people trespassing on their property?

We had major floods here in Carlisle two years ago - about 4000 homes were flooded (minor by Irma standards I know, but major in our tiny city).
We were a bit miffed as we had to postpone tea time just a tad.
