I guess I should have put it in quotes.

I actually have some concern that the cDNA wording will be misinterpreted to be broader than it really is. At least one competitor announced a BRCA1/2 test yesterday, though.

As I said some time ago, I have no problem with a patent for the PROCESS of detecting a particular gene sequence, that's clearly patentable, as is an artificially created gene like Monsanto's Roundup-ready corn and beet seeds. Those are GMOs, not natural DNA, so the altered gene sequences certainly ought to be patentable.

I thought the Court got it exactly right, and exactly as I predicted it would do way back at the beginning of this thread.
