'Led by Ted Cruz, GOP Senators Call on Trump to Bypass Congress to Give Rich Americans Another Tax Cut'

A group of over 20 Republican senators on Monday urged President Donald Trump's Treasury Department to bypass Congress to unilaterally hand the wealthiest Americans another massive tax cut.

In a letter led by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), the GOP senators called on Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin to index capital gains to inflation, a move that would primarily reward rich investors.

According to Bloomberg, the Trump White House is "developing a plan" to cut taxes for the rich by indexing capital gains to inflation.

"Indexing capital gains would slash tax bills for investors when selling assets such as stock or real estate by adjusting the original purchase price so no tax is paid on appreciation tied to inflation," Bloomberg reported last month.

Whatever is most readily available. A multiple nuclear warhead strike aimed at the Washington, DC area would likely yield the best results. There would probably be minor collateral damage, but, meh. I'd be safe. And the benefits would exceed the minor inconveniences.

The reason I ask, Sean Hayden, is that the largest, Dem cities I know of, are kind of crappy (crime-wise, as an example)

But there MUST be a lot of very successful examples of Dem's governance, right?

I know no-one here thinks so, but I DO want the Dems to do a lot better. I would prefer if they had recruited Trump, instead of the Reps. (he HAS pushed back admirably against the politically correct manipulations)

Even better if they could be SUCH a cool party, that some of the strongest Republicans crossed the aisle. I still think they should run Dan Crenshaw as their candidate. Unfortunately, I think he likes free speech, patriotism and other things the Dems seem to not identify with.
