Back in the early '80s there was a sea-going slave market that specialized in underage kids. The buyers would announce they were opening an orphanage in some desperately poor country and would be flooded by people bringing them children. After a short stay they would pack up the kids and move out. A signal would go out to potential buyers and a date set for the sale. The operators had diplomatic passports and were never arrested that I know of.

There was a Beeb News Special late last year early this year about slavery in the U.K. It was quite shocking just how widespread it is.

I'm just saying - if Hitler had stopped his land grab whilst ahead and not broken his truce with Stalin....history might be telling a different story. I'm not taking sides, from another angle, since I don't know who'll be in charge here and reading this in a few years.

Hitler declared a state of emergency when the Reichstag burned. He never repealed it. If he hadn't continued the war his reason for being der Fuehrer and ruling by fiat would have been in doubt. So he couldn't stop.
