So, Who Hacked The IMF?

Post by Xamonas Chegwé » Sun Jun 12, 2011 7:14 pm

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-13740591

There has been a "Major breach" of the IMF's computer systems. Sources say that the scale of the breach implied that "a foreign government" was involved. I also heard on the news (not quoted in the article above) that the sophisticated nature of the attack ruled out 80% of states.

So who dunnit? :eddy:

Our struggle is not against actual corrupt individuals, but against those in power in general, against their authority, against the global order and the ideological mystification which sustains it.

This is SO nice to go to bed with - what will we wake up to? :nono:
"The internet is made of people. People matter. This includes you. Stop trying to sell everything about yourself to everyone. Don’t just hammer away and repeat and talk at people—talk TO people. It’s organic. Make stuff for the internet that matters to you, even if it seems stupid. Do it because it’s good and feels important. Put up more cat pictures. Make more songs. Show your doodles. Give things away and take things that are free." - Maureen J

I get the impression that it was more some country wanting to know exactly how much all of the other countries have in their accounts than anyone looking to embezzle.

And yes, Ironclad, I doubt it is teh Jooz as well - they already own the fucking bank, don't they? :hehe:

Well, the US would know that without breaking in anyway, probably also the Chinese and many other leading countries... Who else would have the interest?

Lulz
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."
