Faith Healing demonstration in British court
Faith Healing demonstration in British court
Niem Mohammed is accused of conning people out of thousands of pounds.
To defend himself he did a demonstration of faith healing in a British court involving a miniature fire pit on top of a silver table.
Please read about it here
A woman has accused him of threatening to send a evil ghost to attack her if she didn’t pay him £1800 apparently, this you can read here
Enjoy.

Enjoy? What's there to enjoy? Just another scumbag thinking he's a goddamn magic man.

Juries do tend to be very sensible and fair, but in this instance (considering how many people seem to believe woo) who knows what might happen. I'll be interested in the outcome.

The jury has been told to put aside their scepticism when coming to a verdict.
I find this troubling

Weird. When I was a juror I was told the exact opposite. Though I suspect the judge has a different meaning of "sceptisism" in mind.Half Cut wrote:The jury has been told to put aside their scepticism when coming to a verdict.

Re: Faith Healing demonstration in British court
Was he bogus because his particular faith healing didn't work? It seem that's the reason.

Somehow I doubt that any court in a country with a christian tradition is going to convict on the principle that faith healing in general is intrinsically a load of fraudulent nonsense.Pappa wrote:Was he bogus because his particular faith healing didn't work? It seem that's the reason.

You did it with bogus advertisements and outlandish guarantees - you used a veneer of holiness to get them to pay large sums of money that they couldn't afford

Kind of implies that if he had used a deep amount of holiness it would have been OK

I read that to mean, you pretended you were holy but you're not. I don't think it implies anything, because he/whe would have to show actual holiness to pass this test.colubridae wrote:"You did it with bogus advertisements and outlandish guarantees - you used a veneer of holiness to get them to pay large sums of money that they couldn't afford."
