There has been a recent increase in anti-semitic graffiti and other actions in Oz. It seems that there are two disparate sources. One, clearly is the usual white supremacist/neo-nazi movements - as shown by this example:

A Perth court has been told one of two men arrested in connection with a spate of antisemitic graffiti incidents across Perth had messages referencing Hitler on his phone.

The Perth Magistrates Court heard the messages were found on a phone belonging to Damian Joshua Arkeveld, who appeared in court today, as did his co-accused Justin Charles Robinson.

One of the messages read: 'Hitler was correct', the police prosecutor told the court.

A wall outside a home on Viking Road in Dalkeith was spray-painted with a Nazi swastika and the words 'f… Jews" on Sunday.

On the same road, a for sale sign and a give way sign were also spray painted with antisemitic graffiti.

The other is from the extreme left/pro-Palestine crowd, or at least those portions who have inexcusably drifted from robust criticism of the current Israeli government actions into blanket hatred of Jews. The irony, of course, is that those two sources of anti-semitism would usually be at each other's throats...

Aye, troubling. Unfortunately, the whole situation has been overly and overtly racialised for far too long.

Snake catchers have caught 102 red-bellied black snakes in a backyard nest in Sydney's west.
There were so many snakes that the home owners had to help round up all the reptiles.

I assume those are venomous enough to make a mamba seem mild

No but enough to kill a small pet or small child.
And that was in one back yard. The pet dog had already been bitten once and survived.

As aussie snakes go, they are not as deadly as Taipans, Brown snakes, Tiger snakes etc...

As aussie snakes go, they are not as deadly as Taipans, Brown snakes, Tiger snakes etc...

According to some, the only thing not poisonous in Australia is gin, and even that is considered dangerous.

Anthony Albanese says it appears some of the perpetrators behind a spate of antisemitic attacks in New South Wales and Victoria could have been paid actors rather than ideologically motivated offenders, seemingly confirming the target of police investigations.
