My Finnish long time on line...aquaintance is quite happy about Trump. He has hated liberals and democrats forever since the gov't chased his parents business from Finland to Canada. For taxes and... bad book keeping.

Now he is almost gleeful. I rarely engage with him anymore, but there was a few lines this week on our board. I announced major losses for Republicans in 2026. He refused to believe that. He does not believe in Trump as dictator. But he believes in a long line of GOP presidents from now on.

I predict the parties going back and forth every four years. Doing and undoing Democrat projeects. Obamacare will return in 2029, for example.

I'm hoping Trump's age slows his roll. He was showing fatigue on the campaign trail. Maybe it will get worse in office. After all, he'll be the oldest person to be sworn in.
