Just you wait. Next, they'll propose legislation making use of the new set of gender pronouns compulsory in Congress!

Getting back to the reaction to Democrat rejection of "so help me God" in official US government business, it seems to illustrate very successfully the hypocrisy inherent in conservative politics. On the one hand they seem fanatical about the constitution (which, in essence, rejects a connection between church and state) and on the other, one observes their insistence that America is essentially a Christian country...

by the dog, I don't need help from an imaginary friend to do the right thing... I might if I try to do the impossible, because then I need a proper miracle if I want to succeed, but if doing the right thing is likened to achieving a miracle, my faith in mankind just took another, possibly terminal blow.

It gets worse for them. In the Bible, Christians at least two times (Matthew 5:33-37 and James 5:12) are told emphatically not to swear oaths at all.

Christians, like all religious people, have an immense ability to let emotional faith override any and all contradictions within the diktat of their particular delusion...

Beto jokes that his wife did a lot of work raising their three kids, "sometimes with my help..." - self-deprecating joke -- '

Oh no, says the Progressive Left.... not so fast, white boy!

So, Beto prostrates himself....
"Not only will I not say that again, but I'll be more thoughtful going forward in the way that I talk about our marriage, and also the way in which I acknowledge the truth of the criticism that I have enjoyed white privilege," he said.
He pointed to his ability to walk away from two arrests as a young man without serious consequences as a example.
"So yes, I think the criticism is right on. My ham-handed attempt to try to highlight the fact that Amy has the lion's share of the burden in our family -- that she actually works but is the primary parent in our family, especially when I served in Congress, especially when I was on the campaign trail -- should have also been a moment for me to acknowledge that that is far too often the case, not just in politics, but just in life in general. I hope as I have been in some instances part of the problem, I can also be part of the solution," he said.
Yes, Beto, die on the altar of Progressive SJW-ism -- because it's just so terrible that when two people have kids, they are responsible for caretaking, and when one of the parents has a demanding full-time and more job entailing lots of travel and out-of-town travel, then the fact that the other parent does the "lion's share" of the housework and kid-care is not just a practical option or necessity - oh, no - that's an injustice in our society that needs to be remedied.

He wrote a story as a teenager about how he dreamed of running over little kids in his car, and all that. He's sorry about it now, of course. And, he'll be forgiven. He's not Mitt Romney, after all -- what Mitt did as a kid in middle school was very relevant to his personality and qualifications in 2012. Beto's sorry for his arrests, his hacking into other people's computer systems, and his teenage musings of child murder -- oh, and his really big sin of joking about how he "sometimes helped out..."

He rides a skateboard, you know. And he poses like Ronald Reagan.

Just a coincidence

He's born to do this.
“When I was in college, I took a terrorism class. ... The thing that was interesting in the class was every time the professor said ‘Al Qaeda’ his shoulders went up, But you know, it is that you don’t say ‘America’ with an intensity, you don’t say ‘England’ with the intensity. You don’t say ‘the army’ with the intensity,” she continued. “... But you say these names [Al Qaeda] because you want that word to carry weight. You want it to be something.” - Ilhan Omar

1 Corinthians 14-34 - women should be silent in church, and should be in submission.

Most of the Bible is not taken literally, or considered really applicable today. Christians say they think it's all literally true to the letter (some of them say that), but nobody actually practices that.

Shitty rock band
internet hacker
1995 Arrested for burglary
1998 arrested for DUI (accident, attempted leaving the scene)
1999 starts up a "web design company" which his wife owns as a "minority owned/women entrepreneur" company getting financial aid
five years later he's on the El Paso city council, and then manages to squeak into the House of Representatives.

Oh yeah, he should be President of the United States.....

I wish one of Beto's interviewers would ask him to recount some of his greatest "hacks" (nonconsensual intrusions into other people's computer systems) while he was with that renowned hacker group. I bet some of the information he illegally accessed was really cool.

Relax. I don't think he nor anyone else for that matter cares which porn websites you've visited.

He admitted stealing long distance calling services "so he wouldn't run up a large bill..." (back then people used dial-up services).

So, the guy's an admitted petty criminal - hacking, stealing phone service, burglary, driving under the influence -- that's just what he was caught doing.

Reuters, of course, had a lot of the hacking information already during the campaign against Ted Cruz - they conspired with the Beto campaign to keep a lid on the reporting. Wouldn't want to hurt Beto's chances, after all....

But, really - if he was spending time "hacking" - so much so that he had to worry about the size of his long distance bill - what websites was he hacking? What illegal intrusions did he make?

I mean, if he was Russian, I guess it would be a big deal. But, American Democrat politicians who were members of famed "hacker" groups whose claim to fame involved unwarranted entrance into secure computer systems... well, that's just good clean fun.

Regarding O'Rourke, all the 'Oooo, look what a shifty character he was' crap may seem like an effective attack, but most of it will only resonate with people who weren't likely to vote for him anyway. I'm not impressed with him because I think he's an empty suit impersonating a man of the people, short on substance and long on hot air. I hope the Democratic voters aren't taken in by him, but just like Republican voters, most of them are all too willing to buy a load of codswallop.
