Republican 2068

Heard a talk yesterday by Jon Meacham who writes books about presidents.

The talk was on 1968, a bad place for America.

He was asked about the US in 2068. His answer wasfocused on demographics: more like Obama US than Trump US.

My take is that the Republicans will stick around, dump racism but keep libertarian wing. Focus willbe on ”the government is evil” and you should keep your money and decide how to spend it, not the ”liberals” spending it. A bit of religion will also remain. Democrats will leave religion out of politics in 2068. Private matter! Why can’t we coexist, etc.
