He will never get into power. Yesterday he had less than 15% so some how he would have to win 36% extra to have absolute power. That would be the first time since the 19th century.
Nobody would join him in a coalition. He is still in desert where he has always been.

Whoa! A small % of 4% of the Dutch population are going to bend the country to their will. I'm shitting myself.

Someone must be.... why is the Netherlands barring Turkish officials from traveling to certain places, and why are the Turks sending cows back the Netherlands? If it's no big deal, why is the Netherlands reacting at all?

Poor Geertie. He had such high hopes. “If all the losers like the VVD form a government, we need to have a strong opposition of winners like the PVV.”

You're not trying to say something about the Netherlands with this photo, are you? Or perhaps you do. Right wing citizens of the USA will sink to any level when it comes to misrepresentation.
So
about 40 British Muslims protested when Geert Wilders tried to hold an open air conference in London eight years ago. They were easily outnumbered by the media contingent covering the event, and I put it to you that they are vastly outnumbered by the 5.5% of Netherland's and the 4.6% of the UK's population who are Muslims and simply want to live and raise their children in peace like everyone else. Trust you to attempt using one photo of that media circus as a counter to Animavore's post. That's just dumb beyond belief.

Today Wilders is dead meat. He may get 20 seats but that is easily ignored. He is still in the political desert where he has already been for the last 6 years. Now everybody else ignore him and lets get on with reality.
Last night the were 300 foreign press crews outside the government buildings and when the exit results were announced the majority left.

My post was tongue in cheek anyway. It didn't need countering. It would be like if you told the why did the chicken cross the road joke and someone posted a picture of miserable looking battery hens below it. It's a real WTF?!

Looks like The PVV increased to 20 seats. Significant gain, but the news seems to be painting it as a big win for Rutte when his party lost like 1/4 of its seats.

Looking at the percentage of votes the PVV attracted compared to the previous election the gain is not exactly overwhelming - just three points up to 13.1% from 10.1% in 2012. The party is also down from its glory days when it got 15.4% of the vote which gave it 24 seats in the 2010 elections, whereas the VVD did better this time around (21.2%, 33 seats) than in 2010 (20.5%, 31 seats).
