Re: Nigel Farage
Crime as fallen at the same time as police forces numbers have been cut back. People don't even bother reporting crimes now because they know no one will turn out. Boston with the highest population of immigrants in the UK also as the highest murder rate. Reframing the narrative using dodgy official stats might work with the folks who still buy official stats as meaningful and unbiased...those are a dwindling pool.

Re: Nigel Farage
You know that is a total of two murders, right?
Junior doctors are on strike because many of them aren't English and immigrants are murdering us all over the place. What must living with your mind be like?

Re: Nigel Farage
So the immigrant doctors who are making our good English doctors go on strike are going to introduce Sharia law? ...when they are having time off from their murdering spree of course.

Re: Nigel Farage
Depends on what you mean by too many. There are a lot that is for sure. That's because we don't train enough and the fact that we are a rich country full of old people means the demand is growing all the time.
We could have fewer but we would have to train more and we aren't producing the calibre of people in the right quantity.
As long as they speak English, have a sense of our culture and are decently trained I'm not bothered.

Re: Nigel Farage
The health service is infested with foreigners. We have a massive crisis in graduate employment here of our people. I'm not talking race, I means stuff like talking English fluently, a imperative when patient doctor communication means the difference between life and death at times. If the NHS was properly managed, rather than dependant on a massive budget margin....and everyone was talking the same language. It'd work like at the start.Rum wrote:Depends on what you mean by too many. There are a lot that is for sure. It's silly to mistake mere correlation for causation isn't it? For example; With the largest Parish Church in the UK Boston in Lincolnshire has the highest murder rate in Britain!

My figures were taken from the independent Migration Observatory at Oxford University, the British Crime Survey, and the Prison Population Survey, and the most recent comparative study carried out for the Home Office by Gavin Berman in 2013. As I asked, your intuitions do not match reality but that doesn't stop them from driving your opinions - why do you think that is?

True. People pretending to be asylum seekers are not asylum seekers. Your point?JimC wrote:But not all the people moving via unconventional means to other countries are true asylum seekers...Hermit wrote:Nothing wrong with that, except asylum seekers are not illegal immigrants.mistermack wrote:What on earth could be wrong with sending illegal immigrants back home?

That it is legitimate to do some weeding out of applicants, and that the ones that are not valid asylum seekers can be validly called illegal immigrants, and refused entry, or deported once there...Hermit wrote:True. Re: Nigel Farage
Who said anything to the contrary? I think the principal problem with the issue is that xenophobic fucks equate every asylum seeker with illegal alien as soon as he/she tries to enter their patch. Apart from being more articulate there is no difference between Mistermack, Crumple, et al and this one:JimC wrote:That it is legitimate to do some weeding out of applicants, and that the ones that are not valid asylum seekers can be validly called illegal immigrants, and refused entry, or deported once there...Hermit wrote:True.
