Re: Evian contains too much water.
It was Queen Victoria who made Malvern water famous. She used to insist that a supply of it went wherever she went. So the dummies copied her. Then people decided that it was healthy to sit in a freezing room, and have ice-cold Malvern spring water poured over them. It probably killed a lot of people.
Up to a few years ago, Coca Cola used to bottle it and sell it round the world, but they closed the plant a few years ago, because there wasn't enough volume for their operation.
Now there are just a few constantly flowing springs that the locals use. It's a beauty spot, so I don't mind going that way now and then, when my stocks run low. Lovely views from the hills.

I was laughing at that DM article a few days ago, UK provides sarin chemicals to Syria! As if Syria can't just make sodium fluoride.laklak wrote:But but but but Sodium Fluoride is a precursor to Sarin gas!
That was actually one of Mrs. Lak's objections, but she's got big tits so I let it slide.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

One mines fluorides, one doesn't make them...

I'm pretty sure that sodium fluoride is manufactured and not mined.JimC wrote:One mines fluorides, one doesn't make them...

I only use bottled water when travelling in uncivilsed countries like the US or Europe.

I thought it was Stannous Fluoride that was used for teeth. That's the tin salt. That's just stuck in my mind from long ago though, it might be wrong.Tyrannical wrote:I'm pretty sure that sodium fluoride is manufactured and not mined.JimC wrote:One mines fluorides, one doesn't make them...

We're both right, really - minerals containing fluoride are mined, but then some chemical processing is needed to convert them into sodium fluoride...Tyrannical wrote:I'm pretty sure that sodium fluoride is manufactured and not mined.JimC wrote:One mines fluorides, one doesn't make them...

I thought you just put sodium and fluoride in a room alone together with some drinks?

Tea makes me barf if I drink it in the morning. Just, all of a sudden-like. "Bleagghhghgh." Then I'm fine. As long as I don't drink anymore tea.
I like tea. But only after lunch...
Mornings, it's usually French roast from a French press, cafe au lait with French Market or Cafe Du Monde New Orleans coffee, or espresso or latte with Pete's or Kalhadi Bros.
I have 41F well water that flows from an Alaskan glacier. The kind of tap water that most people can only dream about.

Funny, coffee ten ds to do me that (barf if taken black in the morning)... my usual breaky is instant coffee and chicory in milk, and that goes through like a bbottle of whiskey through an Irishman... tea is my second choice when the usual is not available.

For me, it's coffee in the early part of the day, tea later on...Svartalf wrote:Funny, coffee ten ds to do me that (barf if taken black in the morning)... my usual breaky is instant coffee and chicory in milk, and that goes through like a bbottle of whiskey through an Irishman... tea is my second choice when the usual is not available.
Bron always buys Australian tea, grown in the Daintree region of Queensland. It's not bad at all...
