You know some implied Machiavellian type spinning all the plates from the Shadows. I suspect that Max Clifford is that person when it comes to the last two decades of media and government corruption.

While I never liked Jimmy Savile, there's something very fishy about all these claims.
Not one single official claim while he's alive, and yet forty or fifty now he's dead. ( having coincidentally left millions in his estate ).

If I was a girl who had EVER been around Jimmy Savile, I would now be telling of horrendous abuse. I like the smell of money just as much as the next girl.

How strange, nobody complained when he was alive. He must have had super powers.

You're as cynical as I am, Mr Mack. That was exactly my thinking. There's a line in a Scottish song about the oil industry, "....an awfy smell o money", and that was what started going through my head as soon as this blew up. And the family, who originally said, "lay off - he's not long dead", are now saying how sympathetic they are to everybody, in the hope that it'll diminish the amount of cash that the courts direct away out of his estate.

Doubtless, there will be people who've been damaged by what Savile did, but I don't know how the courts will differentiate between them and those who just smell compensation. And if the losers end up being people who have to wait even longer for surgery because NHS budgets are hit by punitive damages, I shall think that stinks.

"The estate of Jimmy Savile has been frozen in response to the mounting sexual abuse claims against the late television and radio star.

NatWest Bank, which is acting as the Jim'll Fix It presenter's will executor and trustee, said the distribution of his assets had been put on hold because of the allegations.

Savile's estate is reportedly worth £4.3m.

NatWest said in a statement: 'Given the claims raised, distribution of the estate has been put on hold.'

Savile's will, written in 2006, bequeaths his savings and other assets to 26 separate beneficiaries, according to the Financial Times.

The newspaper said it had obtained a copy of the document which instructs that £20,000 in cash was to be shared between 20 of the celebrity's friends, family and neighbours.

It says a further £600,000 was to be put into a trust fund, with the interest shared between eight people.

The remainder - just under £3.7 million before expenses - was to be held by NatWest on behalf of The Jimmy Savile Charitable Trust, according to the FT.

Savile's intended individual beneficiaries include the trustees of both his charities and existing and former employees of Leeds General Infirmary and Broadmoor Hospital, the newspaper added.

Police are investigating claims that the star, who died in October last year, sexually assaulted individuals at both NHS sites.

Savile's estate was previously put on hold in July after a woman claimed to be his illegitimate daughter, the FT said."

"The lawyer for more than 50 of Jimmy Savile's abuse victims has said they will seek compensation from the BBC, NHS, the TV presenter's estate and other organisations.

The full scale of the late TV presenter's 54-year campaign of abuse was detailed in a joint police and NSPCC report on Friday.

It revealed that Savile's youngest victim was an eight-year-old boy and that he also abused seriously ill children.

There are now 214 criminal offences recorded against his name, including 34 rapes.

The Department of Health and BBC are just some of the organisations embroiled in the scandal and they could now face having to make substantial payouts.

They have launched internal investigations into how the entertainer slipped under the radar and was allowed to abuse on what police now believe was an unprecedented scale.

A lawyer representing dozens of Savile victims, Liz Dux, said all would be pursuing civil claims for compensation.

The crimes spanned from 1955 to 2009, covering his entire career at the BBC, and included sexually touching a teenage girl at the final recording of Top Of The Pops in 2006.

Savile abused patients at Leeds General Infirmary, where he worked between 1965 and 1995, and at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, in Buckinghamshire, between 1965 and 1988.

He also targeted residents at children's home Duncroft School between 1970 and 1978.

Savile's victims expressed shock and anger at the length of time it has taken to expose the entertainer's predatory behaviour and that nobody attempted to put an end to the suffering.

A total of 450 people have come forward alleging sexual abuse against Savile since October, of whom 73% were children at the time of the offences.

Ms Dux said her clients were suing Savile's estate and would also pursue claims against the organisations responsible for where the abuse took place.

However, she insisted they were not doing it for the money. (Ha ha)

She said: 'Compensation is the only thing we can really do for them, but that is not their particular motivation for doing this.

'It is for getting their stories out there to get them believed and to prevent it from happening again. You don't do it for the money.

'All of them have claims against Savile's estate and in addition the BBC and various hospitals and so on where the abuse took place.'

Ms Dux said the claims would be placed 'on a moratorium' until the various inquiries into Savile's abuse had finished."


So, NHS money's going to be used for this instead of for health care. See litigation - it's fucking out of control.
