Do genocides like what Israel is doing in the Gaza strip count as 'wars'? :ask:

I suppose what you mean is that big countries with big armies no longer shoot each other resulting in massive casualties. They just invade small, mostly defenceless, countries. Naturally casualties of 'war' drop as far fewer invading soldiers are killed. This is slightly offset by the civilian casualties on the opposing side, but a net gain for world 'peace'.

Most of the wars of the last couple decades have been civil wars, especially in Africa. Sometimes described as 'brush wars'. Not nice. People die. However, fewer each decade.
For every human action, there is a rationalisation and a reason. Only sometimes do they coincide.
