Here in New Zealand, the Big Game is rugby. Your average professional rugby player is enormous (obese on the BMI scale, except it is all muscle), and of course, laden with testosterone. They are the young men who in other circumstances would be commandos, sent out to kill the enemy. While many are quite intelligent, restraint is not a trade mark. Not only that, but young women line up to have sex with them.

We are better off than the footballers in Britain. Our national rugby team is under strong management, and there is little tolerance for those who overstep their bounds (except from all those celebrity loving nymphomaniacs). We often get stories of 'assaults' (usually no worse than someone shoving someone else), or players getting drunk, and the team management jump on the offenders big time. Better than other hooligans who are not rugby players, and do not have the restraining influence of a team manager.
