A hundy billion here, a hundy billion there, and eventually you start talking big money.

The title of the thread was not a reference to Weiner or his daliances, and it was a question. The answer might be "no."eXcommunicate wrote:I don't know... the title of your thread.Coito ergo sum wrote:Who called him a hypocritical?eXcommunicate wrote:Trying to save your ass from a fuck up isn't exactly hypocritical. I don't think Weiner ever campaigned on being a perfect white washed gentleman fighting to restore Christian morality to the nation.Coito ergo sum wrote:One-upped him in terms of being a total douche?
Well, then that may explain your lack of disappointment in Grayson or Weiner.eXcommunicate wrote:I don't expect every single Congress person to be a "statesman." That's just me.He's a douche. And, so is Grayson. Histrionics and vulgar tirades do not statesmen make.
Not particularly, related. But, yup, he dead.

Congress gets to use accounting methods that would be criminal in the private sector.laklak wrote:Ooooo - a 100 BILLION reduction! (Cue Dr. Evil)
That's like me saying to Mrs. Lak, now baby, I was going to buy a new Jag XKR but instead I'm going to buy a Corvette. That's a deficit reduction of almost $30,000! Hell, we'll only be on the hook for $50Gs.
We're still talking about an annual deficit in excess of one trillion dollars. Talk about fixing an amputation with a Band-Aid.
Let's propose a budge with a $2 trillion deficit, then when we only have a $1.5 trillion deficit in the final budget, we can claim we reduced the deficit by $500 billion. Look how frugal we are!

Hard to break the rules when you make the rules, eh?
Three words - tar, feathers, rail. Or maybe horse, noose, tree.

Related because it was Breitbart who broke the Weiner story, wasn't it?Coito ergo sum wrote:Not particularly, related. But, yup, he dead.

I don't remember. I just remember laughing my ass off at him (Weiner, not Breitbart). I was never much of a Bretibart follower. His site has a wealth of information on it, and lots of links, though.eXcommunicate wrote:Related because it was Breitbart who broke the Weiner story, wasn't it?Coito ergo sum wrote:Not particularly, related.
