I had a boyfriend who thought like this, or something. Something about holes and filling, and I was always the soul he turned to.

The desire for certainty has been a problem for hominids for a very long time now...

The cure is growing up.

So I call up my preacher
I say, "Give me strength for Round 5."
He said, "You don't need no strength, you need to grow up son."
I said, "Growing up leads to growing old and then to dying"
"Ooh and dying to me don't sound like all that much fun."

Cool, I heard similar thinking at the Creation Museum of the Ozarks. The good reverend said that everybody had to die in the Great Flood because they were evil. EVERY DAMN BODY ON THE PLANET HAD TO DIE, except Noah and his sons and daughters-in-law. Babies in the womb, suckling babes, toddlers who couldn't talk yet, they were all evil.

That's what you sound like, Gawd, you sound like the Israelite God.

Ron Paul is very religious himself, he just believes that you can't enforce morality by law. He could probably school all the other candidates on what the Bible says.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.

Actually he comes across, on youtube, as with it enough to seperate the logos from the mythos with regards religion - a lost and almost forgotten art. :smoke:

Are you certain about that?
