U2 sounds like A-Ha

Post by tattuchu » Sat Mar 06, 2010 3:25 pm

I was listening to the radio the other day and I had a sudden epiphany. The U2 song I was hearing sounded exactly like A-Ha! I was trying to work out which song, though. Any other A-Ha fans here? Prolly not, since no one here is as cool as me :mutley: But you can have a go at it if you like.

Here is the U2 song I heard:

And here is the A-Ha that came to mind, though it may not be the right one:
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

Sounds nothing like Ah-Ha.

It sounds exactly like A-Ha. But I'm not sure I've got the right A-Ha song :ask:

I thought they were more popular over there in Europe than they are here in the States. Doesn't everyone know who they are

Not sure how old you are, Ele, so you may have missed their big radio and MTV hit "Take On Me." That was their one big hit over here, and then they faded into obscurity. A couple years later, a friend of mine mentioned them to me and said he was really into them. And I was like, "What? You've gotta be fucking kidding me. They're kinda gay, don't you think?" But when I gave them a listen, I found that they were astonishingly good, and "Take On Me" was fairly atypical of their output as a whole.
By the way, yeah, they are a little gay. But I still like them
